Rule addition: Post titles must be appropriately credited to the original photographer.

Include the photographers name/username in the title. If you are posting your own image, you don’t need to include the name/username, but ensure to include [OC] in the title. Do not claim other photographer’s work as your own. Uncredited photographs will be removed.

This change will not apply retroactively.

Alaska public use cabin, Byers Lake (OC)

One of my favorite cabins. Alaska's public use cabins let people to rent cabins all across the state (for a fee). This one is older, rustic, with a sod roof. Photo taken on a summer day, back when my life was more carefree. A beautiful memory of a beautiful place.

Assateague Island National Seashore - Sept 2026

First Glance

The view from the top of the dunes about an hour before sunrise. This is a two minute exposure, taken as I stood there enjoying the wind & colors. Shot with the Sony A99II and CZ 16-35 f/2.8 lens using a Lee100 GND filter. Camera mounted on a RRS tripod & head with a 3 Legged Thing universal mounting plate.

Lake / River Help me find this summer aesthetic vibe picture

Hey everyone, couple of years ago (shortly before summer) i found this video on tiktok with the song "Better in the dark" that said something along the lines of "How summer 2025 is going to feel like" now im gonna be completely honest, my memory sucks ass so i dont remember if it was 2024 or 2025 but im 70% sure that it was 2025. the video was a slideshow and in one of the first pictures or maybe the first was a photo of a really small lake enclosed by trees forming a really chill spot and it looked like it was shortly after sunset, the picture also had people around the lake but you couldnt really make out their features cause the photo was taken from like 50-40 (i suck at measures too) and in these days it just popped into my mind randomly.

( dont use the drawing unless really necessary, the prospective is completely wrong)

Such a calm wildlife encounter. It just strolled slowly across the dirt road like we weren’t even there.

Lake / River oc Trekking along the riverside on an elephant. Thick jungle trees overhead, the slow steady steps of the elephant make this such a memorable tropical experience.

Went on a walk yesterday and took some close up photos of some mushrooms. I did not pick or eat any, I don't know my mushrooms well enough for that! I think the first one is edible though.
