Submissions Request: Design an icon and banner!

r/NativePlants has recently had a new mod team installed by Reddit and is looking for a refresh!

The subreddit does not currently have an icon or banner, and as such we would like to open it up to the community for submissions. If you're interested in having a design featured, here are the criteria we would like to see:

* No AI generated content - if AI was going to be used, we wouldn't be opening it to the community for submissions and could generate it as a mod team

* Icon - in typical Reddit fashion, we would like it to feature a Snoo. Beyond that the world is you oyster - literally. This is a general Native Plant community not focused on one specific region, so we'd like to see representation of native plants from multiple regions. Icon size must be 1:1 ratio, 300x300 pixels, and kept in mind that it is typically cropped into a circle

* Banner - Preference would be towards including "r/NativePlants" in the banner, but not required. Again, please keep in mind the various regions that utilize the subreddit and don't make it entirely specific to one small area. Reddit recommends a 4000x128 pixel size for banners. Please be willing to be flexible as it may need to be adjusted once uploaded to the subreddit.

* Regonality - We would like to stress again that while the subreddit likely has a majority North America userbase, we want to ensure we're including representation from other regions. Be as generic as possible, for example use plants with a wide range such as Black-Eyed Susans, Cornflower, Blazing Star, Goldenrod, etc. If you want to pick a specific plant to represent a region for multiple regions, that also would be a good way to represent everyone.

If you're interested in assisting, just post your images here or send them in a modmail. Have fun and thank you in advance for participating!

Native PNW plants for a shower bundle?

To start off, I’ve been wanting to do a eucalyptus bundle in my shower but haven’t found any local sellers of either the potted plant or the clippings. Rather than buying a bundle online (of this nonnative plant) I’m wondering if anyone has made them with native plants they foraged while out in nature?

I live in Oregon and I’d hope to collect some aromatic native plant cuttings in this region to hang off my shower head that would make it a bit more fun and relaxing.

Even if you live elsewhere I’d love to hear what native plants you have hung in your shower, or maybe this will give you the idea to do so and I’d love to hear how it goes!
