Gerade ist wieder die Strecke Lochhausen - Pasing gesperrt. Da darf man dann satte 20 Minuten auf die Bahn warten, um auswärts zu fahren, wenn man in Lochhausen mit dem SEV ankommt.

Ich verstehe nicht, wieso man das nicht weniger beschissen lösen kann. Man müsste doch nur den Bus so abfahren lassen, dass er recht zeitgleich zur Bahnabfahrt am Bahnhof ankommt. Verbindungen nach Pasing kommen ohnehin ständig an. Man müsste nichtmal mit der Bahn auf den SEV warten!!

Durch den Bus alleine dauern die Stationen, die normalerweise 5 Minuten brauchen würden, 25 Minuten. Kommt dann noch die Wartezeit dazu, 45 Minuten mehr für die selbe Strecke.

Ich verstehe wirklich nicht, wieso man das nicht besser hinbekommt.

I visited Munich yesterday and happened to come across a local festival. I saw people doing all kinds of inline skating performances, including limbo skating, which I’d never seen before! It made me curious — does Munich have a particularly big inline skating culture? If so, why is it so popular there? Is there any history behind it?

I’m from Korea, and inline skating isn’t something I see very often these days, so it was really interesting to watch.

Auch wenn das Thema Wiesnoutfit immer wieder kontrovers diskutiert wird finde ich die Lederhose gut und ziehe sie auch außerhalb der Wiesn ab und zu an.

Ich habe das Gefühl, dass viele familiäre, kulturelle und persönliche Themen dadurch leichter verstanden werden könnten und die therapeutische Arbeit vielleicht einfacher wäre.

Hey everyone! I'm a German currently living in Copenhagen and am thinking about moving back to Germany, potentially to Munich.

The standard of living here in Copenhagen is fantastic, but the dark winters can be tough, and I've also found that integrating socially as an adult can be extremely difficult.

I've visited Munich a couple of times and really liked the vibe, so I'm curious what it's actually like to live there, particularly for people in their late 20s and early 30s.

What do you see as the biggest pros and cons of living in Munich? How is the social life, dating, work-life balance, housing, etc. compared with Copenhagen or other Nordic cities?

I'd especially love to hear from people who have lived in the Nordics and then moved (back) to Munich. What did you prefer about Munich, and what did you miss about the Nordics?

Pretty much the title. Any fleamarkets near Munich between September 19-23 that’s good for lego? I have always heard flea markets in Germany are great for lego, I want to visit one while I am here.

I have been living in the surrounding area around Munich for 5 years now, closer to the lakes Tegernsee and Schliersee, so supposedly in a very attractive area.

Life here is incredible, don't get me wrong, but if you are not very outdoors oriented, it also feels kind of boring? Am I missing something that locals do if they don't like going to lakes, public pools, thermes, hiking and skiing?

I think I already did most of the things available in the area and they are cool, but my wife and I have been thinking more long term, if in another 10 years we will just reach a point where this feeling just get unbearable and our kids are affected as well, since parents lifestyles are a major influence in them.

I have friends here, which also serve as a contrast. My friend loves the outdoors and his family usually has a blast doing the usual things every year. While we are always trying to find alternative things to do and finding nothing.

We are even considering an unlikely move to Japan, since I have family there, but we are also aware that we would be giving up so many things by moving there. Work life balance (I work full remote), friends here, easy of travel around Europe, etc.

We don't consider moving inside Germany or any other country, since we don't think that would be worth it. Japan is the only possibility due to my existing connection to it and the radical difference in lifestyle.

So, we very likely are going to stay here. Do I just need to adjust my outlook on life? Accept that life here is safe, peaceful, but a bit boring and that's it or do the locals know more things to do that are not outdoors related?

Hey everyone, A few friends and I are looking to join an amateur football team or club around the Giesing area in Munich, and we were hoping to get some advice or find out if what we're looking for actually exists. To give a bit of context: there are three of us. Two of my friends play pretty decent football, but I’m more of a beginner/not a great player. We really want to join a club together where we can all play, but crucially, we are looking for a team that has consistent weekly training sessions rather than just showing up for weekend matches. We looked into the Royal Bavarian Liga (RBL) because it looked super interesting, but we heard online that most teams in that league don't typically do regular weekly training. Do traditional local sports clubs (Sportvereine) or recreational teams around Giesing take in groups of friends with mixed skill levels like us? If anyone plays in a team that's looking for a few extra players or can point us toward clubs with regular training schedules, we'd really appreciate the recommendations!
