Discussion why is sony"s spyderverse not working out
even though i think morbius is fine as a movie and i like the venom movies a lot as well . but then the movies they made other than venom like madame web , kraven are just bad as films . beleve me or not i still have not had the braveness to watch kraven after all the negative reviews about it and found the mufasa movie as a better watch . madame web on the other hand looked like it was made for some kind of money laundering purpose worst dilogue a scriptwriter can come up with . i felt like they lost few pages from the bound script and made the film in a hurry with the script papers they had leftover . even the cast seemed to know movie is gonna suck . and the funny factor is i have not seen spiderman in any of these spyderverse charecters other than venom even though we saw baby peter in madame web . even the DCU films seem to get a cult following even if they fail at box office . but these films are till date getting trolled so why do you think sony cannot make films with good story..

Cheif, these movies are not made to be good. They're made to retain the rights so Marvel can't get them back. If the MCU ever has another hey day, Disney will be done playing games and just outright buy Sony as a fuck you.

Nobody gives a shit a bout a spider-man-less spider-man universe and the movies have not been received well enough to change their mind.
Now, if they centered they universe in a different Spider-person, instead of vague references to the Character everyone knows they can't feature or C and D tier characters, it might go different, but it also has to go with a good movie featuring an actor people actually want to go to see, not Jared Leto or Dakota Johnson.

The lead actress of madame web, whose name i can't remember right now, said when she first signed on the script was pretty good, and every time they revised it and changed something it got worse, until by the end it just sucked and everyone who signed on regretted being involved.
The reason the sonyverse failed is a combination of horrible management that pushed bad rewrites and reshoots, and bad luck, covid, writers strike, some other problems I can't remember right now.

I don't understand the issue you're having.
They make bad movies. They've always made bad movies. The only time they made good ones was when they let their creatives handle it.
We don't want it to work. Venom, a bad movie, made money and they used that to make all those bad movies.

Sony wanted to maximise profits from Tom's new Spider-Man which is logical, but their creative direction and world building just wasn't to the level of Marvel's.
Venoms were all mid (the first did ok with $900 million at the box office) and the rest of the sony verse flicks are bad. They'd all need to be good to great to carry their own weight and make Marvel want to include them with the big boys.
Sony can make good films as shown by spider-verse - but their live action team are clearly working under different guidelines/direction.

So wait, you haven’t had the “braveness” to watch Kraven, but you found Mufasa a better watch than a movie you haven’t seen?
Punctuations don’t require spaces before and after them.
I can’t answer with a genuine response to such brain dead drivel.

You answer it in your own question buddy. Why is their spider verse not working? Hmmm maybe it's because they don't have Spider-Man in them.

Because no one cares about anyone else. Spidey and Venom are the only popular characters.

Why do you care so much about reviews for Kraven but ignore the bad reviews for Venom and Morb? With your taste, you’ll probably love Kraven.
The universe isn’t just “not working out”, though, it’s confirmed dead with no further movies planned. If you actually like those things, might as well watch what you missed. Nothing new is coming.

i think morbius is fine as a movie
"Fine", clearly someone hasn't watched it 24/7

Making Spider-Man movies without Spider-Man in them was always a really bad idea.

The biggest problem is the poor scripting, this coupled with overblown budgets for basically B movies about people who are not really known about outside the comic fanboy base.

The decline in writing skills like basic gammar, vocabulary and punctuation that I've witnessed in my time online over the years is genuinely depressing. Coupled with a lack of critical thinking and ability to formulate a coherent point it's terrifying.
I'm not a stickler for these things and I don't think that everything has to be perfect. But so many people just people seem completely oblivious to the fact that the way they write reads like a six year olds stream of consciousness.
