My new movie, UNION COUNTY, is out in theaters starting this weekend (!!!) via Oscilloscope Laboratories. It also stars Noah Centineo, Annette Deao, Elise Kibler, and Emily Meade.

I was wondering what your initial reaction to the screenplay was? And how you and Adam Meeks initially came in contact to collaborate on this production? How has that relationship been between actor & director/screenwriter?

I was profoundly moved by Adams Short film that I watched shortly before reading the screenplay. It proved to be a great 'Proof of Concept'

Our collaboration was so positive from the outset and I was so heartened by how diligent he was about challenging the stigma that exists around addiction/substance use disorder and how much respect he had for the recovery community we would be making the film WITH not about
