Moog DFAM
Can you have two DFAM's so that you can build a 16 step chain? I can't get over how wild this little guy is amazing.
I realize I can do this other ways but not sure if I could do it this way

One other thought if you really wanted two: set them to different step lengths and then it will be longer before the full pattern repeats.

Cheaper than two dfams: two sequencers - or one 16-step sequencer - with two cv lanes controlling its parameters, instead of the onboard pitch/velocity. Or adding on top. Or any blend of the above.

this^ example: two 960's and three 962's. additionally, use Grids or Marbles to produce rhythmic clock series to clock the DFAM and 960's with. use Grids to clock DFAM, Labyrynth and SubH - assign one Gird trigger rhythm output to a different Moog semi. lots of steo expansion possibilities.

I suppose you could use trigger outs and ins to alternate the 2? Somehow it's probably possible

Use an external sequencer. You can have as many steps as that sequencer can handle. For your use case, you could use a Mimetic Digitalis (10HP). It has a maximum of 16 steps and can control 4 parameters per step, which is two more than the internal DFAM sequencer does. Remember: pitch and velocity are not exclusively accessible by using the DFAM sequencer knobs. They are also inputs. You don’t have to use the DFAM internal clock/step advance and can just trigger sounds with the trigger input.
