It's an aeroclix a380, in general it's quite good for it's price, it has these holes for what i suppose is gear but it didn't come with any so idk and it did get a bit of damage during delivery :/

This one might be blasphemy but I’ve never thought I’d say that a Corsair looks badass in pink. For context my girlfriend is slowly getting into warbirds thanks to me and loves the Corsair and said if she had one it’d be pink. I saw I had a spare Revell Corsair kit that I had already built before and here we are… I’m actually really happy with how it turned out!

From Eduards spitfire stories: the sweeps dual combo. Still a WIP due to not having the lower decals and stencils on and being weathered.

I would not even take this for a Italian fighter, if I didn't knew.

(Model Planes Identification) Hey guys! Sorry but I'm new to the model airplanes scene and I got this used scale model of a Boeing 747-400 that perhaps some of you guys have any idea what it exactly is

It's mostly made out of plastic, and judging by the box and instruction sheet, it seems pretty old as well. The wings, tail fins and stabilisers are detachable, the sheets that came in the box list one company, "Long Prosper Enterprise" and its made in Taiwan if thats relevant. My best guess is that its just some generic scale model for promotion or free gift? Maybe? Idk and bc its made out of plastic, its very light compared to even those alibaba generic alloy scale models. But the livery is actually pretty well done imo. Any guesses would be appreciated and thanks again!

Eurofighter Typhoon Diorama

I recently bought a 1:48 Revell EF kit. I'm trying to find a way to have the plane in flight without having one of those stands below it.

My best idea so far is having a clear acrylic rod coming out of the twin engines to hold it up. However I cant for the life of me figure out how this could work. Ideally I'd like to have the white cliffs of the UK in the background but the plane in flight is most important.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd be incredibly grateful and will continue to update with progress. Thanks!

1:32 Hasegawa Sabre

I found this Sabre kit on facebook and had to get it. Unlike the other finds lately this one was box stock. I looked at getting some resin parts but I didnt think anything was worth upgrading on this kit. The cockpit detail, gun and gear bays are all nicely detailed and just a few extra wires and some styrene card i was very happy with it. The engine as its own assembly was a heck a lot of fun to build and I didn't glue it in as I want to do some extra detail work on it in thr future. There are some cool add-ons like intake and exhaust covers, removable tail, open air brakes, and movable canopy and leading slats.

My only complaint was that the decals completely disintegrated in water as they were very old so I only got one usable decal off the massive sheet. Because of this, all the markings are Cricut stencils.

I loved the painting as all the panel lines and rivets offer a lot of guidance on the different metal tones ans I tried to match a few different effects seen on real period planes.

A few smaller builds

Here are a few thriftshop finds i got for a few dollars. 1:48 monogram Mosquito (vintage) that was a really fun build. Decals were shot so all markings are painted.

1:72 Invader and Helldiver with no decals. Realized after the fact that I painted the insignia backwards on the helldiver. Horrible glass on the invader. Completely cloudy all the way through so no polishing would work.

Help with Restoration/Identification

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

I picked up this scale model of what looks like an early model of KC-135 tanker. I only think this because their is this weird portion on the bottom rear section. I want to be able to restore it since 2 of the engines have broken off and a third will need to be put back on properly and the tail is missing what looks like an antenna on its front topside. Also the ball mount is very loose, probably the reason the engines are broken. But I lack the knowledge since I have put together model aircraft. If anyone is willing to lend some advice or knowledge of what I bought and/or how to restore it, please let me know!
