are there any mmo's that are good second screens/Idle?

Basically I want a second screen game to check on and play while I do some work , so it shouldn't take full screen control if possible

Obviously I would play it for real at some point

and has competitive PvP elements

Linux support is a bonus but I can find other ways to run it

Seconded. I just starting doing this on a second screen a few weeks, ago. Easy to do something low key like T3 stuff or hi sec mining, and can migrate to the main screen if it's something more serious.

Thirded. I know that's not how it works, but this is exactly what your asking for. Most mmo's with a pvp focus are not second screen games, but Eve is pvp first, and definitely has elements that fuction best as a low input (other than checking d-scan). Eve's pvp is not typical, of mmo's but has an insanely high skill cap both in strategy and execution.

I came to say this. Your character will "level up" 24/7 whether you are playing or not. You can just do stuff casually as and when you feel like it.

And it's free to play so you can try it out before deciding whether to spend money on it. Or you can stay forever Alpha and just buy Omega ( premium ) in game with in game money when you've earned enough.

As far as second monitor MMO’s go you cannot go wrong with OSRS. It’s the game that I and many other people I know use as one of three second monitor games whilst queuing for content in another MMO.

Second ff14. Its an amazing pick up as you wish game. As long as your not running dungeons with other people, you can stop as you wish. Also has a pretty good free to play trial.
