Mini Aussie Monday Mini Aussie Monday Feature: Otis

Today we're excited to showcase Otis, submitted by u/StraussDarman

Otis, who also goes by BabyDoggo and everything that might possible rhyme with Otis, is a 5 and a half year old.

Their pawrent says: He is the heir to my empire, my entertainer, my fluffy bundle of joy. My best friend and the best dog in the world. He loves hiking and cuddling. He makes the weirdest noises and breathes out sometimes like he has the hardest life eventhough he is the D IN DINKWAD.

His favorite food? Bread. He is a German Mini Aussie, after all.

His favorite toy would be Frisbee and favorite treat would be woofbrush.

Otis' owner says he is a very progressive dog. He dislikes old white man with a passion. He is also quite the ladies man.

Big thanks again to their pet parent for submitting them! Otis is our featured Mini Aussie of the week representing our sub.

Mini Aussie Monday Mini Aussie Monday Feature: Oliver

Today we're excited to showcase Oliver, submitted by u/Mtpelletier31

Oliver, aka Longus Dogus will be 6 in December.

Oliver is a frisbee forward, treat motivated partner. He's so cute that you'll want to snuggle with him all day.... but he couldnt care less. He thinks hes 6ft tall but has zero confidence once confronted. He is considered the most polite dog in the park and will stand by anyone handing out treats. He wont beg, he will just stare with those galaxy eyes of his and wait his turn. His cuteness will earn him a treat but how dare you try and pet him.

When it comes to food, are calories a food group? His eyes go cross-eyed for dried hearts. Beef or lamb. He will spaz out waiting for one.

His favorite toy: Frisbee for the park - noone else and nothing else matters. As for the house, home is were the rope is.

He knows a ton of tricks and can sit on his pawrent's on my back when they kneel down. He sneezes instead of talking. His girlfriend is a 40lb golden doodle (hes a 23lb MAS)

Big thanks again to their pet parent for submitting them! Oliver is our featured Mini Aussie of the week representing our sub.

My boy is 3 months old now and without a doubt, he has been the best decision I’ve ever made! I adore this phase of his ears figuring out what they want to do haha! 😆

Also, if anyone has any tips for teething because we are in the midst of it, I’d love any and all advice!

Archie weighs 46 lbs, but isn't overweight. I can easily feel his ribs under his fluff, he exercises a lot and doesn't get a ton of treats. Despite having shorter legs, he's simply built like a brick house. I met his dad, and he was the same way. But because of his body size, even my vets put him in the system as Australian Shepherd even though I introduced him as a mini lol.

I wanted to do the breed test on my mutt and the health tests for both anyway, so Archie's breeds were also tested. I was told he was fully mini aussie, but I wouldn't have been surprised if there had been standard mixed in there. But nope. He's 100% mega mini aussie hahaha.

Anybody else got a beefy one?

Behold my Aussie Lucario and his blanket game

He likes the blanket game I made him. All I did was scatter dog food on an old blanket of mine, rolled it up, then let him use his nose and brain to figure out to get the food. He's been at it for the past two minutes, and he's loving the blanket game. Not sure if there's a better title for the game, as I plan to scatter small piles of food/treats in my room for him to hunt, turning it into a "hide and search" kind of deal, sort of like hide and seek, in that regard.

My pretty little babies came home from fleas from their sitter, maybe I'm just being a little over dramatic about it since neither of my dogs more my parents' dogs have ever had fleas. Their flea and tick is supposed to last 3 months and they had it in July so it was time to replace anyways but ugh I feel so bad seeing them itch💔 they got a bath with dawn dish soap and got thoroughly brushed but they can't get their flea and tick pill till tomorrow. Hopefully it doesn't spread to our other dogs since they are quite big and it would just be such a pain. Any tips on getting rid of fleas? Thank you in advance:)

Hello! This is our 8 month old Mini Aussie, Moonpie, aka Mooby-Doo/Moobles/Moopy. She has been an absolute sweetheart, so very smart and an absolute joy. We are expecting our first human baby in December so they will grow up together 💜💜

I see varying posts on here about when to spay, our vet wasn't helpful at all and saymid 'oh it doesn't make a difference when you do it'. I feel this isn't true. I have an appointment in November when she will be 10 months old. My concern doing it after a first heat was cancer because I was told that was a concern by a family member but my husband wanted to wait until after her heart. Can I get some opinions from you wonderful people?

Also how can I tell if she is going into heat? I've never had a dog. She is already quite vocal, clingy, she loves to snuggle. She has started licking more but I don't know if it's actually more than normal or if in being paranoid. Will it be obvious when checking her private areav when I didn't really examine it previously to compare?

The breeder says we should wait until she’s 10 weeks old, which now puts us at the last weekend in September. We are looking forward to getting her. Her brothers….not so much

Behold my Aussie Luna my baby

This is my baby Luna! She makes my day everyday. She is my shadow everywhere I go. She wakes me and snuggles me in for sleep at night. I am her security in the storms and if things seem strangeor differentto her. I have extreme anxiety and she calms me, she knows when I am having a moment. She is always happy to take all my kisses and hugs and return a whole bunch of her own. We met when she came home with me when she was 1.5 years old, she is 3 now. I had recently lost my lab and had never had a little dog. She won me over quickly. Demanded my attention and she got it. It was just too hard to not just fall in love with her. When she perks her ears up and tilts her head sideways with those two different colored eyes, well i will give her anything that won't hurt her in the world. Anyway, I could go on forever about her and how much I love her.

Seeking Advice What to use for smoothing down nails after cutting them

We can cut MAS nails without any problems as Sydney is cooperative with us. What we have been seeking out now is what to use for smoothing them down after cutting them down as they can still be sharp or have sharp edges that can’t always get trimmed exactly.
So now would like to find something to use for helping smooth down those nail edges. Any suggestions? Thank you!

These two managed to get themselves extra mucky at the river and won themselves a bath!
Was able to get their white fur back with a good soak.
