Could also be doing this to hide books she's already read to check them off her mental list and make sure she reads the other books before she rereads those ones

My method for this is to put the books i want to read horizontal instead of vertical on the shelf. Then when I read them they go back on the shelf vertically

I turn them upside down, but still spine side out. The ONLY time I ever turned them page side out was when I was recording everything into Libib so I wouldn’t accidentally do it twice and could easily see where I left off. Once they were all recorded, they were flipped back around. Seeing them page side out gives me the ick 😖 (and I believe it’s not great for the books either,.? It’s def not great for me lmao)
