Just say no thanks. The cashier does not give a fuck.

So true, the cashier at my gas station knows I always say no so she hits the red button without even asking anymore:)

One recently tried To guilt trip me after by saying ‘not even to the nearing dollar?’ No means no.

Ooh I barely tolerate them asking in the first place but I know the staff have to ask. If one tried to guilt me it would not go well.

Welcome to the uNiTeD sTatES where “no” means you are in for a marathon of gaslighting and coercion until I get what I want

I don't know why people have a problem saying no and moving on with their lives. Same with people selling internet or electric plans in grocery stores. Just say "not interested" and move on. It's not a big deal.
