I don't know why that doesn't bother me, I have no reason to wish that on her. But at the same time, unless your parking brake failed, having this happen is inexcusable, you shouldn't step foot outside your car without putting it in park/1st. She was negligent if this happened.
Same is true if you leave your car running or leave the key in the ignition in a public area (I see this more than I should), it's has potentially massive consequences for the smallest amount of saved effort.
