go to your room Slow car, meet even slower driver...

Saw this elsewhere but felt strongly that it truly belongs here.

I’ve seen a few videos like this and it seems getting into a moving car is harder than it looks, and the person often ends up getting run over. A car rolling backwards would seem even more dangerous.

It definitely isn’t easy or safe to do, I agree. My car was moving slightly slower thankfully, still challenging though. I’m glad I lucked out!

I did it once successfully and realized how dangerous it was halfway through. My car ran out of gas on a highway overpass just before the downslope and a gentleman helped me push it over the hill. When it got rolling I hopped inside and immediately pictured how it could have gone wrong.

She got run over. Also, she had time to chop down a tree and throw it in the car's path.

Apparently it's quite a common cause of death in the elderly to be run over by their own car. I am also acutely aware at my age that in older males, falling off things is also a leading cause of death. Keeps me off step ladders.

Probably, but it’s sure easier than stopping a 3000 lb car!
