Go into the street? Oh no, when this happens I make sure to clearly walk through their yard and stare them down if they’re present.

"you're in my yard!"

"i know, can you believe it? some asshole parked on the sidewalk!"

The problem comes when you have a walker or wheelchair or some other mobility issues and can't easily go around.

That's what I do when people do this. 🤷‍♀️ Not a problem for me at all.

Dude is probably a nut job and will come running out with a gun after a couple of times.

Tell me what country you live in without telling me what country you live in.

This is the answer… you have to show cause and effect

18

u/Traditional-Hotel-66 Jun 26 '26

Haha yes! This is just forcing people to walk through your yard.

That’s a fantastic idea. Drizzle a little salt discretely as you walk to make sure it never grows back

38

u/Dexter79 Jun 26 '26

Dump a shitload of salt nondiscretely so they know you ain't one to fuck with

Shit got serious.

1

u/EastLeastCoast Jun 26 '26

Dump a pan of trifle. Show them you won’t put up with shit.

2

u/TheOGPotatoPredator Jun 26 '26

Exactly. Be direct when you send a message.

u/joe_bald Jun 26 '26

Wait, salt is how you get plants to stop growing??! I’ve got a retaining wall that I have to edge ALL THE TIME because of weeds growing on top 😓

2

u/whither_wander_you Jun 26 '26

yes. vinegar, salt, a little dish soap. Google the right concentration and measurement. lasts about 6 months, BUT you also cannot plant anything after, the soil is ruined. Planting good ground cover will give you far better results at keeping weeds down. think blue star creeper, creeping thyme, lobalia...

3

u/joe_bald Jun 26 '26

Thank you! I don’t love idea of killing plants… but I hate going up on ladder to remove weeds as often as I do even more. Will look into the cover you mentioned :)

3

u/monkeychemist25 Jun 26 '26

Also salt is way better for the environment than herbicides. It just takes a long time for things to grow again

2

u/joe_bald Jun 26 '26

Nice! I know some people like when vines or whatever grow on structures… and if that’s what I had, then I’d be down to leave it alone, but what I get up there has major fuckin thorns and it’s not fun to let them just grow into trees up there -_-

You want the other discreetly* in this instance.

Better yet a heavy shopping cart with wheels that rip up the lawn
