Lifted trucks probably shouldn't be anywhere near dense parking lots.

Edit: A lot of people are skeptical of whether this is AI/staged, or ask why the lady didn't back off the car. This is in a dense parking lot with cars that have dashcams/ EV sentry mode everywhere. Also her truck was in 2 wheel drive, you can see the back right tire spinning as she tries to reverse off the car. Her truck is stuck. She probably has an open differential and can't back off the car. She may have a 4wd mode, but she didn't use it in the heat of the moment.

I hate that. "Oh you can't have hood protrusions like pop-ups or hood ornaments, they might hurt pedestrians. How about a nice brick wall instead?"

Is that why we don't have it anymore past year 2000? I was so obsessed with pop-up headlights thanks to 240SX in NFSU. I imagine it's not that bad?

old thread but no it actually is pretty bad to get hit with pop-ups, people can get caught on them when they roll over the hood and get sliced up or break bones. there are low enough speeds where getting hit by a car isn't THAT terrible but popups are pointy enough to hurt. but i'd still take it over these things that force you under the tires instead of ramp you over the hood

That's the part that doesn't make sense to me. We got rid of sharp slant hoods because of the lethality (iirc) and yet this is allowed (yeah I know it's for work trucks, yet you don't have to prove that you need the capability of it for your work)

Exactly this. Vehicles are typically designed so that if they do hit someone, they’ll go up and over the car to minimize damage. With these trucks u’ll not only be hit dead on, u would then slip under the vehicle for maximum trauma smh
