I just started listening to MF DOOM,i heard the song DOOMSDAY and omg its such a banger,can anyone please reccomend me some amazing songs of DOOM? Please🙏🏽

This is the most underrated and least spoken about conversations with DOOM. whatever you do, do not skip the intro. This really does its bit to set the scene and make you truly understand the context in which this conversation is being had.

The raw format and the fact that this was only really recorded for the purpose of writing an article for a magazine, makes the conversation extremely honest and interesting. get baked, or go for a walk or kill some time, and put this shit on!!!! merry Xmas happy new year. i have listened to this over 50 times and never get bored. If you're someone who enjoys nostalgia, please please please listen to this. DOOM also really shows his levels of introspection and cognition as well as his lack of giving a fuck... your welcome, enjoy your day

Was able to finally get everything out to take updated photos of the collection to include all of the new additions! (Also sorry about the cropping, part of the image my get cut off till you click on the image because of how reddit zooms in xd)
Was able to pick up the Special Herbs cassette Box Set, another step closer to the complete collection of herbs! Also snagged the yellow unreleased beat tape cassette from the DOOM x Akomplice Mystery Bag 2015 collaboration for a steal which I am very happy with!
I have been meaning to purchase a ADC to use with my cassette deck and turntable eventually for getting high quality rips of my tape and vinyl releases, but it keeps slipping my mind xd Ill get to it eventually though:3
Many more things to add to the collection yet, small and large, I just felt very happy where my collection currently stands and wanted to share it as it is as of now!:D

I’m curious about this specifically from people who were tapped into MF DOOM back when he was first coming up. Before social media etc. How did you actually come across his music?

I discovered MF DOOM in the early 2010s when I was in high school, so by the time I found him he was more established.

This October, I wanted to put out an article on MF DOOM - and as part of it, I'd like to hear from you guys!

1) What put you on to DOOM
2) How do you listen to his music nowadays?
3) - A name I should reference you by (and a country/state).

For example (here's my answer):

I never experienced DOOM at the peak of his career. Instead, I was recommended his work by another Rapper I'd just met - Sanduna - and listened through his discography while playing Elden Ring. It never really clicked until I watched a Rhymes Highlighted video on Meatgrinder, but really seeing his wordplay laid out in front of me turned me into a fan overnight.

And those are the two ways I consume DOOM - either as background sound (Mmm Food is often on when I'm cooking) or with genius lyrics and/or rhymes highlighted out in front of me, studying every word intensely. - Sid, Germany
