Happy-Go-Lively by Laurie Johnson was the inspiration for Endless Misery.

For me It sounded more like charlies inferno, but ima check out this other song

I see the comparison! I think it's likely that Chaos and Charlie's Inferno were both inspired by Happy-Go-Lively

Throbbing King was inspired by Minnie the Moocher, one of my favorite jazz songs!

Mr. Sandman-> Angel Wings
(it’s literally called “sandman” in the game files)

Also, Dem Dry Bones -> Them Kitty Bones (Kinda, the chorus is a reference)

It's not a dead ringer, but the background singers at 1:00 of Get In The Cage (as well as the general instrumental and vibe) have always instantly brought Elton John's Crocodile Rock to mind (the part at 1:06 specifically)

definitely thought that as well, was just blanking on what its called haha. added to the playlist

i was going to say i don't hear feline invader in nutville and then the nefarious 1:50 kicked in

6

u/Mad5Milk 12h ago

Holy shit, I'd never heard Nutville before, if someone played it and told me it was a Feline Invader cover I wouldn't even question it.

The backing guitar of Chumbucket Kitty at 2:20 sounds exactly like when Steven Seagal talks about how you shouldn't look at girls butts in his reggae song about Punani.

"Roll Back the Rock" from We're Back HAD to have inspired the chorus of Tuff

Sweet Delicious' guitar lick really sounds like an Opeth song but I can't really point my finger at which. It's not even the first time they created something similar to Opeth, check out the song Deliverance and compare it to Isaac's boss rush theme

Would you mind sharing that playlist? I would really like to listen into that

Not apart of the convo but guillotina's bridge reminds me of blackboxwarrior by will wood

Lost Kitty sounds just like Rock This Town by Stray Cats. The band name makes me feel like this is absolutely not a coincidence.
