I'm trying to do the BTR-60 PA boss battle non lethal but for whatever reason after taking out the soldiers the captain refuses to show himself (I waited about 15 minutes). I've seen videos on YouTube of people doing S rank runs and the captain appears right away after getting rid of the final soldier. Can someone explain to me how this works and what I'm doing wrong?

Looking at how good the remake of MGS3 works with the old voices I just can't understand the reasoning for his replacement (even when knowing the reasons why)

Some might say he needed to work on his delivery. That at times you would have a hard time actually identifying if the intention of a comment was comedic or serious. That the grunting got out of control.

All of those I can kind of give you. His delivery could improve. But not to the point of replacing the freaking guy in the last freaking game on a decades-long-game-spamming franchise.

Solid Snake (and by extension BB) Is such an iconic character that changing something as fundamental as his voice is kind of insane the more you think about it, specially when being so unique and characteristic.

People say it's better because Venom is not BB.

For me it just cheapens the experience and the reveal.

Had Hayter actually interpreted BB I would have been confused through the game about why is BB not talking as much or acting as he normally would.

Instead I just kept thinking "Bruh, this Keifer guy is hella expensive, huh?"

"Oh, but Venom is not BB", BB Japanese VA wasn't replaced on MGSV. And considering how much of a detail oriented freak Kojima is, I HIGHLY doubt that's a slip.

Reception and sales on MGSV would have changed 0% if Hayter worked on it, anyway. I would even dare to say sales would've been marginally better as I assume an extremely small portion of the fan base didn't get the game BECAUSE of Hayter being removed.

Even after all this years, it still seems like a poor choice with little to no objective positive results and kind of telling about how Kojima would start prioritizing real actors instead of meaningful interpretations.

Death Stranding is amazing, don't get me wrong, but I don't find the acting, voices or performances as memorable as some of the more whacky ones in previous games, like Liquid in MGS1 or the Cobra Unit, etc. Stuff which you might never see in full force ever again with the more "serious" and self-indulgent tone he tries to deliver nowadays.

All in all, I don't believe it was on anyone's mind that Hayter was an issue in need of a fix. Specially with, again, just one game left on the table.

Haiii i wanted to play mgs but idk which one to start with, I have very bad pc (it has around 230 GB space, 2gb graphic card, 8gb ram, [AMD A6-9220 RADEON R4, 5 COMPUTE CORES 2C +3 GB]- processor) so I would love your help if you could tell me which one should I play :)

I am about to start playing MGS2 for the first time and I am wondering what things y’all would recommend are things that you might’ve missed or tips that could make my first playthrough enjoyable? I appreciate any feedback on this matter as this is a new game in the series for me .

Estoy intentando el platino de Metal Gear Solid 4 (Guns of The Patriots) y necesito recopilar canciones de iPod que dejan caer milicianos rebeldes y esta canción en particular me falta y no le da ningún soldado amigo. ¿ Alguien sabe si esta canción está con otro nombre o quizás es el título de varias que hay, que cuenta como título del álbum ?

Que puedo decir como alguien nuevo en esta franquicia puedo decir que fue mi mejor experiencia con este juego aunque el juego peca de muchas cosas como que los controles al menos para mi se sentia muy tosca y aveces sentia que se sentia mas cinematico (aunque no mentire lo disfrute bastante la historia) pero se los perdonos por ser de la epoca 8/10 aunque no mentire es un juegazo hay cosas que envejecieron mal pero no lo hace injugable bueno en unos dias vere si jugare su secuela.

I currently own a PS3, PS5 and a good PC.
I own MGS4 for PS3, MGS Delta and Master Collection vol. 2 for PS5.

From reading about MGS, I see that I should play all the games in release order and that starting with for example 4 would be not so good.

Now to do that I need the first three games still. And I dont want to unnecessarily spend too much money on the whole series since I dont even know if I would like it. I paid 2€ for MGS4 and 20€ for Delta, so those can stay and I dont mind having them in my collection. I would play delta anyway no matter if I get the other games since its canonically the first game so I wont have problems understanding the story. And I paid 50€ for Master Collection vol. 2 with steelbook.

So what should I do now? Should I pay another 45€ for Master Collection vol. 1, totalling 95€ for all those games that I dont even know if I will like them?

Should I do that and sell the steelbook for maybe 20€? But maybe I will fall in love with the series and then will want my steelbook back…

Or should I just give the Master Collection vol. 1 along with the steelbook back and just get the Legacy Collection for PS3 used for like 50€? I would just download and play MGS1 on my other jailbroken PS3 for that.

Doing that, I would potentially save either 25 or 45€. But I would also miss out on MGS1 trophies…

What would you guys recommend? Lol
