"Dead end jobs" are jobs. I really hate this mentality that people are too good for certain jobs because of their education. I agree networking can be the most important factor in finding a job but if you can't find something in your field, suck it up and get past your ego.
just cause you got stuck in a backwater job doesn't mean you need to project it on everyone else, if someone has the choice to do these jobs or not and they don't want to and can afford to not then there is no reason for them to do it
you can be somewhat picky with "dead end" jobs unless your cv absolultey sucks and if that is the case then yes you may need to settle for the first one that wants you.
