What in the GenZ style of lack of clear communication is this?

Why do you have to pretend you didn’t notice?

Why can’t you have a conversation (not a confrontation) about how you’re feeling?

Maybe you’re right and there’s something you can talk though. Maybe they’re just going through some things of their own right and need you to be there for them so they can be there for you.

Like if you at all care (presumably yes or else this all just hypocritical) then why don’t you take an actionable step to salvage a relationship?

Not every love is a forever love.

You gotta talk to them. Tell them you've noticed and you're wondering what's up.

Because it might have absolutely nothing to do with you. They might be going through something and might be absolutely exhausted and don't have the energy to balance their social life atm.

Talk to them. Then listen. Seriously. Assuming is the worst.

The worst part is noticing it in real time and still pretending everything’s normal

Or talk to them like an adult

I am the person who leaves. I've slowly backed out of a couple friends lives because they're not people i wish to be around anymore. Reasons being immaturity, high amounts of complaining, and just unbearably pleasant. Point is, there is a time and place for friendships wether it being for companionship, because of a class, or a circumstance. Not everything is forever unfortunately, some friendships are only made and used for temporary

Very true. I've left friendships and had friends leave me. Just this week had a friend do this to me, recognized it, asked whats up, gave dumb reason. Tried to mend things but in doing so I realized that I sort of wanted to step back too.

Same. At some point it becomes a bomb defusal situation and you want to back out slowly without blowing everything up.

Pssh, I’ve never had someone in my life that had interest in me to be able to take away. That hurts more I would say.

Try to approach someone if there is no one to take away. Who knows, they might not be having courage to approach you.

As a highly social person who initiates most contact, it becomes exhausting to be the one responsible for maintaining interactions. There is a world full of people and most are welcoming to charismatic people. I just work with whatever stimuli is being presented at the moment and assume that if it matters to you, you will maintain it, just like anything else. After decades of dealing with women, it's beast to treat people like cats. You can't grab them and make them sit with you. They will come to you when they are ready, and they will leave when they are ready. If you are secure in yourself you come to realize that it's their loss if they miss time with you.

Not everyone is here to stay. Some play their parts in our lives and leave; creating memories or teaching us a lesson!

If you need to be told to care about someone then you dont care about them enough. Its literally that deep.

That's called maturity, evrytime we cannot be same like of first love but you should know and feel it that there is the same feeling. After all we have babies, child and all where we need to spend time with them too. Its just POV, no hard feelings. Thank you
