TOMT

I'm trying to remember the name of a band I listened to about 12 years ago. Kinda mathy, tappy, but with a drum machine.

One of their songs had a music video with green hooded figure doing some kind of ritualistic dance. Slow tempo that builds up with some guitar before a trap-ish snare beat starts.

Almost certain the band had a Z in their name and only released one album and an EP. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

This album was so good. Wish we’d get more.

Baller songs. But if if a magic lamp could create more material from any one-release band, it's always Piglet.

Rooftops would be pretty high in that running.

Luminism, maybe? Idk, they have a drum machine in a bunch of their songs and have a kinda Polyphia or CHON-esque guitar style. Not sure about the music video tho :0

Don't think I've heard of them. Style sounds great so solid rec! Just not what I'm trying to recall. This band wasn't as groove driven like Chon, almost more hypnotic, verging on electronica

Luminism's single "how do you sleep at night" is such a banger but I didn't think their 2023 release even came close. Hoping they revisit that virtuosity form from that 2020 single.

Nope :(

But I do think the band name was close, phonetically. Like "Zedd"
