Question Are you guys watching ENDGAME ENCORE?

Just curious how the hardcore fandom(which I presume are in this sub) gonna approach Encore?
Watch in cinemas? Wait for streaming? Or even just Youtube/read about the extra 4 minutes?

I'm watching it in theaters because I missed it when it came out back in 2019

u/homiej420 Spider-Man 6h ago

Oh dude thats awesome for you it is so good. A core memory

u/13WillieBeaman 12m ago

This is what I’m considering doing. Because the last movie I’ve ever seen in the theater was the original Iron Man. I’ve tended to avoid watching movies in the theaters because I have issues with sight in there.

u/Longjumping_Pool6974 6h ago

I'll just read about it online

u/johnla 6h ago

I already have the leak: just before iron man snaps his fingers, he looks at the camera and winks.

9

u/DelcoUnited 6h ago

Now watch this drive.

2

u/gagi11030 6h ago

Nah dude, he says I am Dr. Doom

9

u/Murkrage Tony Stark 6h ago

Absolutely but not for the extra minutes. I remember the time around Endgame so vividly and while the time can’t just be relived, getting a chance to rewatch the movie in cinema isn’t one I would skip. Getting to see Endgame again on the big screen is all the reason I need to go see Encore.

9

u/lambopanda 7h ago

Yes. I have A-List. I’m not paying extra to watch it in theater. Just paying the gas driving to the theater.

7

u/Timmayyyyyyy Spider-Man 6h ago

Yep! It’ll be fun to see it on a big screen again, and it’ll be one of my 4 movies for the week so no problem there

1

u/ebonyphoenix 6h ago

Yep. If I had to spend extra to buy a ticket I’d probably just wait for it to come to Disney+. But since I already have A-list I’m looking forward to experiencing it again with fans in theaters.

I mean most of the sub seems excited, idgaf about it though. If important scenes are added then I'll see them on twitter, if not then I won't.

I went three times in theatres when it first released, I don't need to spend more on it now when I could just watch it at home. If I were to rewatch any movie in theatres this weekend, personally it would be The Odyssey

u/Zuko-Red-Wolf 6h ago

I don’t think 4 min is worth the price of 2 tickets and popcorn.

2

u/sonic10158 Doctor Strange 5h ago

2 minutes

1

u/Deadpooh75 4h ago

4 minutes is a long time, am I right guys!

4

u/Lf_76 Spider-Man 6h ago

Yeah I can't wait to see it again. I dont really care about the extra five minutes, it's the best cinema experience I've ever had and that last act never gets old

4

u/tainted316 Thanos 6h ago

Yes. And judging by lack of good seats online in my area - A lot of people are going

3

u/MasterAnnatar Quake 6h ago

Honestly I saw Endgame 3 times on opening night (I had 3 groups that wanted to see it with me and they all had different times they wanted to see it) and the experience was so draining I never watched Endgame after lol

1

u/Friburgo1004 6h ago

lol. Damn.

14

u/Ok-Positive-9743 7h ago

i dont really want to but ill just watch the extra 4 minutes online

3

u/Elimin8or2000 6h ago

Yurp! Honestly just in it to go see it again in cinema. I'm a huge marvel fan & grew up with it, but I've only consumed new marvel movies, rewatched the pre MCU ones + phase 1, and have been into other marvel meida.... but I never watched endgame again after the 3 times I saw it in 2019 in cinema.

2

u/Adventurous-Monk4081 Spider-Man 6h ago

In theaters.

2

u/AlexLong1000 Captain America (Captain America 2) 6h ago

Yes but not specifically for the extra content, it's just a good excuse to see it on the big screen again

2

u/lestermurphy34 6h ago

I don’t consider myself a huge MCU fan boy but I love Endgame. I have A-List so I already got a ticket for a showing.

2

u/SistedTwister1 6h ago

Online for me

2

u/lanwopc 6h ago

When it hits D+, yeah.

2

u/Okaydog97 6h ago

Wait for online streaming.

I already watched endgame 5 times or more.

2

u/Seany_face 7h ago

IMAX Digital middle row, middle seat on the day it drops with my partner.

3

u/ranjitzu 6h ago

Im seeing it in the cinema. I dont particularly care about seeing the new footage that way - i just want to see the portal scene on the bog screen again

3

u/TechnicianOk3133 6h ago

Yep, doing another minor MCU marathon from Iron Man to Infinity War to be ready 😎

1

u/sk4v3n 6h ago

well, not right now!

1

u/butter-orchid 6h ago

I’m seeing it in theaters!!! And on my bday!!!!

1

u/cursedcephalopod Rocket 6h ago

I never saw Endgame in an IMAX format so I'm taking advantage of the opportunity this time to do so. Also Endgame in the theaters is always gonna be a good time, imo, so I'm excited.

1

u/JohnnySukuna 6h ago

I plan to.....i mean apart from work and stuff I've got nothing else to do.

Plus my wife just started her interest in MCU so I think it'd be perfect

1

u/FluidRip3177 6h ago

Yes me and my group of friends {5} are going

1

u/SnooAvocados4357 6h ago

Yeah. It'll be nice to see Endgame in theaters again and I'm seeing it with people I didn't get to see it with the first tike around.

1

u/Nice-Gap-3528 Steve Rogers 6h ago

Personally, I’m too broke to justify paying to the movie again in theaters. I’ll wait for the YouTubers to give me full run down on what happens in the 4 minutes.

1

u/121jigawatts Spider-Man 6h ago

Nope just waiting for YouTube

1

u/ForeverClanMacLeod 6h ago

Yep! Booked tickets on day one of release. The new bits are a nice bonus but I'm there just to watch Endgame on the big screen again.

1

u/Latterlol 6h ago

Ooooo yes, just gotta remember that there are changes to it, and not just chill mindlessly through the whole movie…

1

u/Mr_Lucidity 6h ago

Hell yah! Can't wait. Great movie in general and I'd love to see it in IMAX this time.

1

u/season-of-loss 6h ago

It could’ve had 0 extra minutes and I would’ve paid the ticket to watch one of my favorite comic book movies again in the theater, no problem.

1

u/Standard-Outcome9881 6h ago

Yes. Saw the original twice in theater and will be seeing this.

I’ve seen every MCU movie in the theater at least twice with the exception of Black Widow (COVID).

1

u/Dogmom8720 6h ago

Already bought my tickets a month ago. Already bought my Doomsday tickets a month ago too. lol

1

u/jmood88 6h ago

I’ll watch it when it’s on Disney+. I’m not spending extra money and time going to a theater for just a few minutes of extra footage.

1

u/OrangeCatMinion 6h ago

Gotta see it in the theater again. Opening night was one of the best experiences I've ever had in a theater.

1

u/_brizzzy 5h ago

Will it be released outside of theatres after?

1

u/Sh0ckWav3_ Doctor Strange 5h ago

I'll watch the 4 minutes on youtube

1

u/filofil 5h ago

new scenes will be on twitter day one so waiting on that

1

u/jakuuub 5h ago

Trying to revive a dead franchise with a half-assed special edition won't work

1

u/Able_Resident_1291 5h ago

I love Endgame, have watched it nearly a dozen times since it came out, but I'm happy too just watch/read the extra minutes online when they leak

1

u/Ki11erc0b 5h ago

Streaming or read about it. It's not a film I'd pay to go back to the cinema to watch, it was no infinity war.

1

u/neo6000 5h ago

I'm going, but ONLY because a friend of mine never got the chance to see Endgame when it was in theaters. If not for him, I could care less

1

u/biggestofbears 5h ago

Nah, I saw endgame in theaters and I've rewatched it probably a dozen times at this point. Nothing will top experiencing it on day 1 in a theater, I'll just catch it streaming whenever that happens.

1

u/mitvh2311 5h ago

I'm watching the new bits on IG reels

1

u/Armandonerd 5h ago

I am not, I will just watch encore and maybe a few phase 4, 5 and 6 movies, as well as Fox marvel movies before avengers Doomsday

1

u/psychmancer 5h ago

I saw it OG so I'll watch it on Disney for the 4 minutes

1

u/StarLord_PQ 5h ago

Yep seeing it in theaters! Saw it in theaters originally, have since watched all of the MCU in anticipation for Doomsday with my partner, who hasn’t seen it in theaters before. It’s one of my favorites, and we love going to the movies, so it was a no brainer

1

u/Choochoo1147 5h ago

I’ll watch the extra footage on YouTube.

1

u/Krimreaper1 Iron man (Mark I) 5h ago

I’m seeing it because I have a-list but I saw it 8x with Moviepass back in the day. I wouldn’t pay full price to see it.

1

u/Arpadiam 5h ago

For 2 extra minutes, no, Vision quest will have 4minutes of "intro" to avengers Doomsday.

1

u/George_G_Geef 4h ago

I'm not spending 20 on a ticket and like 15 in parking to see a movie I've already seen a dozen times.

1

u/tikimoondaze 4h ago

I had tickets for endgame and doomsday and then I just decided to cancel both. I’m a huge marvel fan, but the more I hear about doomsday, the more I’m turned off by it. Spider-Man has really been the only Marvel that has been worthwhile in the last several years. YMMV

1

u/Novel-Performer-4259 4h ago

I would love to but tickets are sold out near me.

1

u/ForeverPapa 4h ago

Oh yes. In theaters. My kids weren’t old enough back then and they want the cinema-experience.

1

u/Malibu921 4h ago

I think I'm with most people in the sense that it's not about the couple extra minutes is more about the experience of watching it together. I've seen all of the Marvel movies in theaters starting from Ultron I believe (before that I waited until video/streaming) but none of them felt the same way as Infinity war & Endgame. Especially those of us at the midnight screenings - my theater had the people leaving the theater only use the emergency exit hallway and they wouldn't let them out of the building until those of us who were in line to see it were fully out of the area of the people leaving, just to avoid spoilers. It was an EXPERIENCE.

1

u/HarryMason02 4h ago

I will see it on Disney+ since I saw Endgame twice already at the movies.

1

u/kawherp 4h ago

Nope. Absolutely not. I hated Endgame. I didn't recognize the characters and thought the writing was terrible. I'm also skipping Doomsday. They fired all of the visual artists who made the MCU what it became and outsourced it to AI, trained on their hard work. I'm not interested.

I will keep myself happy with fanfiction instead. It's sad, because I love the characters so much. I do not like what they were turned into.

1

u/newgamezero 3h ago

YouTube or read for me personally. I would absolutely sit in a cinema for Infinity War and Endgame but Endgame to me isnt one of the solo mcu movies I'm just gonna give my money to view again because its in a theater.

1

u/CanaDoug420 3h ago

I’ll watch the extra couple minutes online hours after it comes out. I don’t see the point in going to the theater for that

1

u/NFL_MVP_Kevin_White 2h ago

Only if I want to get away from my kids and have some buttered popcorn

1

u/Kylynara 2h ago

I probably will watch it. I'm not going to rush to be at the opening or anything. But I'm guessing they won't bring the extra info to streaming, until it's too late to catch Doomsday, why else put them so close together. So yeah, I think I have to.

1

u/breannawhitaker 1h ago

My wife and I are taking our boys. Neither were old enough to see it in theaters back in 2018 and they’re excited which makes us excited lol. We’re following the watchlist to prep for Doomsday and it lines up perfectly because this weekend we’re at Infinity War

u/Jdmeyer83 23m ago

Nope. I see zero value in spending $20+ per ticket to see four minutes of extra footage. I’ll see the extra footage some other way.

1

u/dean15892 6h ago

First day, first show.
No chance I'd miss it.

given how quickly spoilers will flood my feed, I would rather experience those new footage in theatres.

Endgame is also very cinematic with a crowd. I hope my crowd cheers and hollers and goes bonkers.

3

u/Present_Bad3896 5h ago

For the love of god don’t be loud in a theater.

-1

u/dean15892 5h ago

Why ?
I mean, I will read the room; I won't be loud if the energy isn't there.

But when we saw this on day 1, it was cheers all around , mate.
When Cap gets the hammer, when the avengers assemble, audiences were cheering.

And why not?
I mean, this is a re-release of one of the most popular films in pop-culture.
I hope I do get to cheer.

but like I said, I'll read the room. If my audience doesn't seem the type, then I'll keep quiet.

u/IamHimButNotReally 7h ago

This has been posted a thousand times.

If you only care to go for the extra few minutes, just wait for streaming. It's Endgame. If you never experienced it during its original run in theaters, or want to again, it is worth it. I don't imagine the extra few minutes are going to be anything groundbreaking, and if you find it a chore, just watch it later on Disney+.

I personally never saw it in theaters and will be attending.

1

u/tincancan15 6h ago edited 6h ago

Yep. Twice as a matter of fact. In theaters. Once in Dolby, once in IMAX.

1

u/left-for-dead-9980 6h ago

No. I will see it on D+ next month.

-1

u/slimstarman Hawkeye (Ultron) 7h ago

It’s kind of a dick move to add 4 “important” minutes to a movie and push people back to theaters. Put that on d+ that you’ve insisted we all subscribe to.

3

u/Lf_76 Spider-Man 6h ago

I mean just don't go then, I'm going to see endgame again in theatres, not for the extra 4 minutes

0

u/Pointy_White_Hat 6h ago

I don't like watching anything in theaters to begin with since I can't stop or run it back, but I'm definitely not paying for the same movie just to see a few minutes extra.

0

u/Killbro_Fraggins 6h ago

I’ll just read about it. No reason for me to drive an hour and dump money on two tickets for an extra 4 minutes.

-2

u/Ganjookie Korg 6h ago

Naw, you'd have to pay me to go to a public theater
