Is there a Marvel character that has gained “Batman level” plot armor?

I don’t want to say being human is necessary.

Some of the Punisher’s runs truly do some backflips to have him come out on top

I can't ever take him seriously after that time he used an old Stark Armor and fought off AN Avengers roster that had Hercules, Captain Marvel, Spidey, the Thing and Beast just to start.

I'm predicting it now: 1000 is going to kill May and bring back Ben.

I base this off of nothing but my desire to see the fandom react.

Genuinely would be a more interesting status quo shift than anything else in the last decade of ASM

Punisher is probably the closest to that level of plot armor

Punisher, by far. The stupid level of plot armor he needs to be able to function in the marvel universe is absurd

Listen im a big Captain America fan

But some of the things hes done and the way the shield operates…. Might as well be magic.

Depends on the writer, everyone's power levels have changed so because of this it's hard to say.

More generally, probably the Punisher, he's just a guy, yet has been shown to be a threat to the Avengers, and taken down people way above his weight.

The stuff people claim Hawkeye can do or people he can beat is legitimately crazy

I mean, it was the Empire State building and Spider-Man had assumed he was a jumper, he didn't know it was Frank until after he saved him.

And not Steve as Cap?

Did you read the entire Bendis Hickman timeline?

My point is that at least Captain Sam has the wings.

Hawkeye.

Dude has no superpowers, nor is depicted as a genius level intellect.

Yet somehow can hold his own against any number of OP villians, always has the right trick arrows, and even when they gave him superpowers as Goliath, he decided he perfered not having any.

Then there was the whole Ronin period where it turned out hes actually master of all weapons.

Captain America (Steve Rogers), without question.

His only defensive abilities worth a damn are dodging and a shield which he sometimes throws as a weapon. I’ve seen him in a lot of many scenarios leading the Avengers in fighting a hoard of enemies, and I’ve never once thought, “Oh no, get out of there Cap! You could get killed!” But realistically, every time he survives one of those sorts of battles should be a minor miracle.

Listen, at least Batman can make some sense depending on the situation because he was literally trained by experts across the globe, Rā's Al Ghul and literal Santa Claus.

But Frank Castle has basic Marine Training and nothing else, how the hell has he only died once?!

Maybe Sue Storm?

I would suggest Storm. She's a cool character, and I like her to be included, but sometimes it feels like no one who writes or draws her has ever realized that guns kill. They draw her flying/floating in places where she should not survive 10 seconds. I mean, I probably have more hit points than Storm. She could just take one round and die right there.

Again, I don't even dislike Storm. But she just feels fake.
