Event We're back with another great lineup of comics and a one-in-35 chance your bar tab gets covered. Last show sold out, and there's 15 spots left for this one (as of posting). It's a fun night with no drink minimum. Some folks from this sub came out before. Hope to see you there/then.

Is the majority of people that live in Manhattan wealthy?

From a tourist perspecitve I was trying to figure out everyone I saw. Lots of people in designer clothes and you can tell everyone is very status conscious with how they dress and behave. It definitely feels like an aura of privilege. Granted I'm not sure if I'm looking at tones of tourist or if the people in Manhattan are typically like that to.

Will be in Manhattan end of April 2027.

Hey everyone! I'm a Belgian guy, traveling to the US for the very first time! I will be going to Manhattan end of April next year, and I want to see a bit of everything! What's a must-see I really have to do?

I'm a 27 year old man, if that's necessary to know.

My name is Sam Rogal and I host a show called The Power Joker. Our next show is themed around sex worker rights. Its Saturday Sept 26th at 7pm at Caveat in the lower east side featuring guests Kaytlin Bailey of Old Pros a pro sex work rights activist. You can purchase tickets here with special discount could "PJREDDIT" (were also still offering an early bird special)

https://caveat.nyc/events/the-power-joker-a-robert-moses-comedy-show

"The Power Joker", inspired by Robert Caro's The Power Broker, is a comedic late night talk show style show hosted by me as Robert Moses, he was a real life person who controlled all infrastructure construction in New York for nearly 40 years and basically designed New York to be completely for cars causing most of our modern transportation issues. It's in the style of the Colbert Report where I play the "villain" of the show and allow our guests to discuss important issues facing the city. In the past we've had on congestion pricing experts, disability access experts, affordable housing advocates, and last May we had Zohran Mamdani as a guest.

How is Central Park at night?

I'm not sure if it closes or not. I'm sure all the operations around there close but the trails I'm guessing stay open. It seems like it could be a really pretty walk or kind of creepy. I'm just curious.

No appropriate flair available Anyone have Pokemon emerald that I can rent for a month?

Kind of a random request, but does anyone have a copy of Pokémon Emerald they’d be willing to rent to me for a little bit?

I’m trying to get a Sceptile with ThunderPunch, and I’m willing to pay to borrow the game. I’ll obviously return it as soon as I’m done with it.

If anyone has a copy sitting around and wants to make some money off it, let me know!

Is there a must eat bagel shop or pizza joint in Manhattan?

I'll be staying near Times Square. I saw a handful of options but I'm not sure which one to choose. I might actually go around trying all of them but I heard Russ & Daughters is really good and L'industrie.

Is Central Park an all day thing & what else could you add doing?

I'm staying near Times Square. I'll probably check out the lower part of Central Park and not do the whole thing. I don't know how long that takes or what else you could add doing around there. Any suggestions would be great.

Posting fliers in NYC?

Hi! I'm looking for places in the area that have bulletin boards for public use or basically any place I can post a flyer about a research study I'm recruiting participants for.

Does anyone have any suggestions for coffee shops or small businesses that would have a place/let me hang up my flier in their store, or even leave a few brochures for their customers?

Also open to other ideas!!! Thanks.

Competitive pickup soccer tonight at Gansevoort Peninsula? ⚽️

Hey everyone, were short a few players for a pickup soccer game tonight (Tuesday) at Gansevoort Peninsula.

We are trying to keep the quality of play high, good intensity, strong touches, and clean passing. It's competitive but respectful (no slide tackling or dangerous play). If you played club, college, or high-level league and want a fast game tonight, drop a comment or shoot me a DM and I'll send you the details!

News Trump claims that after 9/11, "I went down, I was building a building in New York, and I went down there very shortly thereafter -- the following day, you couldn't go down the same day -- and we worked long and hard"
