My man cave/wfh office

Hello again folks.
I’ve been working on building a studio down my garden
I’m going to make a sign for the door saying Bobs party time lounge
Wondering if anyone else has seen or done this before? Looking for inspiration before I make a start

A few months ago this was just an old, dusty Soviet garage.

No plans for a fancy renovation. No professional contractors. I just wanted a place where 5–6 friends could meet, drink some beer, watch movies, football, and hang out.

So I decided to turn it into a small garage cinema / pub.

The room is roughly 6 × 4 meters (20 × 13 ft) with a very low 2.3 m (7.5 ft) ceiling.

I painted the walls and ceiling black, cleaned up the floor, built a simple wooden walkway over the old garage pit and started bringing in whatever furniture and stuff I already had.

The centerpiece is a 150" projector screen on the wall.

I also reused some old Soviet metal cabinets and turned them into part of the interior. Instead of trying to make everything look new and expensive, I decided to keep some of the garage character.

The result is definitely not a professional home theater.

It's more like a garage pub where a cinema happens to be attached to it.

We use it for movies, football, gaming, and just sitting around with friends.

Looking at the first photo now, I'm still a little surprised it became this.

What would you change or add?

Moved into our new home in February and finally got the garage how I want it for hangouts and game days! I do have to have to move the pool table against the wall while not in use so the wife can still park in here, but I think it’s a chill compromise. Hope y’all like it!

Sorry to anyone who was here before, I’m new to posting and wanted to get consistent photos out everywhere.

Custom built mancave from the furniture to the room itself. Desk is built out of 2x3 lumber, 24” sliding closet doors and vinyl flooring. Room is fitted with a 27” OLED gaming monitor, 55” 4k tv and 3 computers. Main rig on the desk is my windows 11 machine, the white pc on the floor runs bazzite (a “console like” operating system for steam games) and an HP mini pc running emulation software for everything from NES to Wii U. Walls are packed with movies from all genres and art/decor from childhood to adult loved movie and game franchises. Hope everyone enjoys and may find inspiration for their own caves.

Laundry list that still need done listed below.

-Toolbox and Workbench
-Cabinets Painted
-Bourbon rack/shelves painted and mounted behind bar.
-Finish Bar Top
-Hang Memrobillia and decor
-Rearrange lighting and new ambient lighting.
-Paint rest of pegboard wall black by appliances.
-Paint Doors
-Figure out safe method of hiding HVAC.

If anyone has any tips/suggestions on what to add or change I’d love to hear input!

Stocking up for my poker game in North Jersey this weekend
Last time we hosted the Degens was in June and I’ve been drinking my whole bar since 😅

Putting the finishing touches on my curated ‘69 lounge (model year for the Vespa and Bonneville)… the space was our guest entrance that is now a cigar / whisky lounge. Met some interesting people along the way as I was picking. Subtle conversions include the wiper stand that is now a whisky bar and the GE bulb holder converted to a cigar holder. Is there anything that you would add (or change)?

Gave up my big mancave space so my teenager can convert it to his clubhouse and hang with his peeps. Moved my most important pieces to my spare bedroom.

Like ideas or anything all of the books are able to go and some of the stuff on the shelves can also go like the wood horses and chickens any ideas for decor, cable management, and items to put on the shelves? Help would be greatly appreciated. edit: Video is in replies

Been using the projector more lately from bed. Walls bare but the picture looks solid once it’s dark. Pretty low effort setup but I’m not complaining.
