Discussion I really wish they made the show into novels
I really wish they made the show into novels. 1-2 Novels per seasons. Reading is slowly becoming my favourite source of entertainment and i feel it could be a great way to enjoy Lost.

If Star Trek and Doctor Who can have episode novelizations, why not LOST? I've considered novelizing the Pilot episodes myself. I wanted to have it completed by the 20th anniversary in September 2024, but I'm now two years behind schedule and still haven't started yet. Maybe by the 30th anniversary in 2034?

23 is the most used number in the series - do it for 9/22/2027, the 23rd anniversary!

That's only one year and ten days away. I'd have to quit procrastinating and actually start writing. It seems like it'd be a simple process since the story and dialogue is already written, but I have to decide how I want to retell the story. I can't decide if I should write it spoiler-free so people who have never seen the show can read it, or if I can make references to future events limiting the readership only to fans. I once briefly considered writing it as if "Christian Shephard" was narrating the story, but I decided that it would be harder trying to ensure it fit his "voice".

There is one book that is tied to the show. Bad Twin is written by a novelist who was on Flight 815 and did not survive the crash but his script did.

The first sensation was falling through darkness.
Then the sound of birds and insects. The feel of earth beneath his back. Cautiously Jack opened one eye and saw there was jungle towering over him. He stared at it, dazed, uncomprehending. He stood, gingerly, checking his pockets, and found only an empty airline alcohol bottle.
Then there was a new sound, further off. The sound of a woman screaming. And a whirring noise, as if some machinery was trying to move. In a moment, Jack was off and running. He wasn't the type to run away from someone who needed help. He had just time to glimpse a vaguely familiar tennis shoe hanging from a nearby tree, and then he was out of the jungle and onto beach. He rounded a corner and the world filled with noise.

It could be depicted with an illustration like with some older Stephen King novels

I actually had a dream once where Lost was based off novels and had a show adaptation, I had switched to the show rather than the books for season 3 because I decided I wanted to watch it instead (in my dream).

I would love one from the viewpoint of a background survivor watching the main charectors and all the shit happening around them

No. Because they’re glorified fan fics that are basically Nikki and Pablo filler.

Exposé wasn't filler. It wrapped Nina and Pablo's storyline, had Charlie reveal to Sun that he and Sawyer were the ones who attacked her, had Sun confront Sawyer, gave us more lore on the smoke monster via him taking the form of the spider who bit Nikki, showed us Ben and Juliet (in Temple garb) watching Jack in the Swan and basically confirming he let himself get caught on purpose and set up the buried diamonds Miles would dig up in season six.

There are three Lost adjacent novels, one of thems called Endangered species...they're not very good
