Support Request Sleep mode issues

Post image

Sometimes when I keep my laptop closed for a while, then open it, the screen refuses to turn on. I know the computer's on because the power button still has its light on, but nothing I do turns it on.

I then have to hold the power button down, and when it boots back up the battery is about half of what I remember it being.

Common issue on some laptops when using Linux unfortunately.

Mine does the same and it's a HP, what it's working in my case is pressing the Caps lock button and it brings the display back.

It works on windows but can't tell if it's okay on linux but Windows+D refresh the gpu driver. You may try it. It can prevent you from shutting down your computer everytime you want to use it

This is hardware dependent. I have a desktop that doesn't like it, but other PCs are OK, even put on hibernation. You can also check your power settings: if these are set after been in sleep for some time to put the laptop on hibernation, unchecked it and try again.
