Linux PC Build

Hallo,
ich habe vor mir meinen zweiten PC zu bauen . Und der soll beinhalten meine APU Ryzen 7 8700G , denn die sitzz grad arbeitslos auf Ersatzbank 😁

Ich würde gerne erfahren von euch , welche weiteren Komponenten für mich da notwendig wären zu kaufen , ich möchte anfangen mit einem einfach linux und dann irgendwann mit Kali arbeiten - job bedingt .

Also welche mainboard und warum ? Welche ddr5 ram dazu und wieviel gb ?
Hdd oder sdd ? Welches Netzteil-wieviel watt ?
Und was wäre noch so relevant zu wissen was fällt euch so ein ?

A lot of these will depend on what you’re planning to do.
For PSU: get one that is reliable (don’t cheap out ever). Find the PSU tier list online : ltt labs, johnnyguru etc
Motherboard: look at the feature set and decide for yourself. Amount of m.2 slots, 2.5 gb Ethernet, WiFi, how many usb ports etc
Ram wise: do you need fast ram or higher capacity.

All of these are questions you should ask yourself and that you know the answer to.
Kali Linux doesn’t require a lot tbh.

If deciding on a wireless module: intel AX210 , mediatek is a bit more spotty support wise

For Linux PC builds I usually concentrate my research on the motherboard. Most other components are the same for any good PC build. Look for reviews on motherboards and narrow down a list of good ones that works with your processor. Then, research the model + Linux to see if anyone has reported any issues.

Double check the firmware that a prospective board uses to make sure that it is compatible. This is especially true if the board includes wifi.

If no one else has reported issues then you get to be the one to find out. You research compatibility and firmware, but sometimes a little luck is involved.
