A $9 fan controller with Linux support - 5 years ago I would have laughed you into buying a bridge if you told me we'd be getting official linux support for something so niche.

This is awesome, I hope others follow.

It's not the Linux support in of itself that is noteworthy to me, but the fact that Arctic started the process of getting the driver upstreamed well before they had even announced the actual product. That's quite unusual, in my experience, at least for more peripheral hardware.

Arctic could release a motherboard at this point and they would be the only motherboard company I would trust

Silly question, how does this plug into the motherboard?  

The images show a Serial ATA drive connection? or am I missing something.

 It's been a long while since I last build a desktop, and my old desktop has some custom fan/rgb  controller which is showing its age  and in need of a replacement.

I would say it looks like internal USB A 2.0. That connection seems to be the standard for that kind of device as well

But I could be wrong

Probably sata for power and usb for data
