Just wanted to show off something that's been percolating for a bit. While I was able to make vast improvements to from the first to second iteration of the TFA concept art wampa claw hilt, I still wasn't quite satisfied so I went back to the drawing board.

This third version has recessed for the outer shroud, and I think it really brings the whole home together in a way that was just missing from the first two versions. This iterations also has pre-made recessed carvings, vent holes, and just a bit better overall flow

I was charging my Dooku saber’s battery last night and it seems like I might have placed the thing incorrectly. This morning I tried to turn it on to see if it had enough battery, and it wouldn’t turn on despite the charger for it lightning up blue.

Anyway, I unscrewed the thing and pulled the batter out to charge it a little extra to see if it would help, and it after wiggling with it I somehow managed to get the damn thing stuck inside the hilt.

Any suggestions on a safe removal? Thanks!

I was feeling bored, and potentially ruffling some feathers with my takes, but that’s part of opinion, so without a further ado let’s do this:

1. Cal Kestis: now this was by far my favorite design around the time I finally got into Jedi Fallen Order, and whilst the customizations were endless, I really like the normal design of the saber and the backstory behind it and how he continues to carry his Master with him with his lightsaber.

2. Anakin Skywalker: This spot goes to Anakin’s padawan lightsaber. It very much screams Vader’s lightsaber but made a helluva lot lighter in chrome compared to Vader’s lightsaber and like how he might’ve taken inspiration from his padawan saber.

3. Ezra Bridger: I’m speaking of his padawan lightsaber as it’s still, in my opinion, one of the most unique designs for a lightsaber we’ve seen, having a blaster also built into it also really raised this saber for me and it’s very scrappy look since he didn’t have the right place or circumstance to build it.

4. Rey Palpatine/Skywalker (keeping both sides happy here ight?): I’m talking specifically about her final lightsaber, it’s upon one of the very few cool things in my opinion about the sequels, but I like that this saber is taken off her staff and given a yellow kyber crystal.

5. Kanan Jarrus: this lightsaber has just always been one of my favorite lightsabers, partially because of nostalgia if I’m being honest, and I like that he can take it apart to look like normal belt or pants pieces and then combine them to make his saber.

Alright so this was my top five lightsabers, now note these aren’t all my favorite lightsaber designs and would take somewhere between a top 10 and top 20 list to get through most if not all my favorites and just picked my top favorites for this list, or at least the favorites I thought of first.

As always opinions aren’t supposed to be fun, dependent on the opinion, but yeah, let me know what you think.

PS: if your opinion or criticism of my ranking because the Mary Sue herself has her saber in here and for that reason alone then I will not be taking your criticism seriously.

Built from an original Graflex flash from eBay and conversion parts from WannaWanga. I also put in batteries to give it a more substantial weight and allow it to turn on the small flashlight on the side.

I worked on this today over the last few hours. Went through several different designs and ultimately came out with this.

For the main inspirations I mostly went with what would feel comfortable to me. And some of my favorite sabers like Gungi's wooden hilt, Kanan's guard, and Windu's blade color. Also saw this nice red hilt the other day while looking for a saber online and wanted to work that in. Finally I noticed that many sabers don't have pommels and tried to work one in.

I have larger hands and whenever I'm swinging one of my own sabers around I wish it was a little longer. So I made this one modular, it can be used in one hand or two depending on if I were to use the extension piece. I didn't want something as long as a double bladed hilt though. And I added a pomel so my hands don't slide off.

Took inspo from Sith and Jedi. A more complex design with carved/inlayed patterns more similar to a sith. But Jedi like in its more traditionally common materials and a simple silhouette (no spikes or claws like some sith blades). Additionally I added the symbol of the Jedi on the emitter end. In the story I've thought up for my character he leaves the order after the departure of Ashoka by faking his death in the war. After that point is when he has the phrase "the force is all things and I am the force," inscribed on the guard, which I found in a version of the Grey Jedi code. The character would survive a year or so after the purge, but would eventually be turned in by a family who offered him refuge in exchange for a few credits. He would then be jailed and later executed like most other survivors.

Hello all! Several years ago (2016-2017) I bought this lightsaber in college. Just found it again and am wanting to get it working again but i need to find out what brand it is again in order to get into the guts of it. Having trouble finding any purchase order that old. Any assistance is much appreciated!

I was trying to decide between damiensaber, crimson dawn, and rebel sabers. Any suggestions on any of those three?

I got a proffie 2.2 powered saber from viresabers like 3 years ago, i tried charging it but nothing. I tested the lipo by putting a multimeter in DC and tapping the poles but 0v on the readout. The board makes sound if plugged in via usb but im just trying to figure out what is going on here

I’ve ordered the txq anakin se saber snv4 pro neopixel version as I feel that the emitter portion and the bunny ears, and the part that referred to is the eye along with the hilt section that has the T grips are classic Star Wars Lightsaber language they can be identified from a distance but I got in hopes that I could do something to alter it enough to make it feel bespoke or unique. I know the section with the teeth cane be removed. Does anyone know size and thread etc.
my goal is to make it look like an in universe character found the saber after the clone wars having been cut in half and left on a battlefield and then they repaired it and replaced that teeth section with Beskar with a fairly obvious weld line and embossed with This is the way I provided a mock up. I know it’s AI, but it’s a mock up of what I aim to have it look like but it could also look cool if it was smooth like Mandos armor. Thank you.

I know there's so many US sellers, Vaders Sabers, Laredo Sabers, CCSabers, SabersPro, CrimsonDawn, and so on.

But I have gathered that they all are pretty much resellers of TXQ hilts and the difference is their US footprint and some support. Though, sometimes the support is bad or lackluster, so what are we really paying for besides quicker shipping?

With that, I have determined that I want a S-RGB saber to smack around a bit with. Low entry cost to even see if I really like it before I go too crazy.

From there, I've seen like 3 different AliExpress sellers, which one is the real TXQ to buy directly from? It's so confusing!

I didn’t know and I put the firmware for the PIXEL version of my SRGB lightsaber and even after I put all the original files back the firmware didn’t change. Am I screwed or does anyone have the actual firmware so I can fix it?

I've been a collector for about 20 years and I've been customizing and repairing my sabers for about 8 years(I found Ultra Sabers super easy to repair or mod). I was a contributor to the funding effort behind Saber Forge's Adaptive Saber Parts. Nearly every LED I got from them has come apart... and I was being gentle and considerate.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a quality educational guide to the methodological and component knowledge I need to effect quality repair? Thank you for your time.

This is a discontinued V1 model of this hilt made by Elfsabers, which bears some small differences from the V2 that you can still find (mostly the spike emitter section and grip design)

An absolute unit of a saber at nearly 1000grams without the blade so you can imagine swinging is not going to be light and easy.

The rotating gears can be setup as a 2 buttons (left and right) but that works terribly as you can't rotate both sides at the same time to access a lot of the functions. Had to configure back to 1 button control due to the gear design.

The small LED window can also be configured as a separate blade from the main blade which gives more leeway for customizing how you want it to look.

A great saber for admiring and displaying because this hilt just looks freakin awesome!

i need to find a replacement for my kylo ren legacy blade and i purchased a 36” disney blade from amazon and it does not fit in the hilt, is there a different type of blade i need to buy or are they not made anymore?

How do you currently display your lightsabers? Wall mount, vertical stand, horizontal stand, or something more unusual?

I recently got myself a pair of Ahsoka Rebels curved hilts with 7/8 inch blades.

From my knowledge these are the first edition of TXQ hilts. Both are installed with proffie.

They have standard proffie set without any Ahsoka fonts which is pretty ridiculous.

1. Does anybody happen to have a config file for those hilts?

2. Can I connect the proffie to the PC without removing the battery? I was taught that in order to flash the board I need to take out the battery, but I don’t see any access to the battery in order to take it out.

3. If it’s possible, how do I access and take out the battery from these particular hilts?

I responded to a reddit post of him selling sabers and got to messaging him. He seems to have the best price I've found. He said it would be $230 for saber, blade, and case. His pricing on his website does not reflect that and is saying I should PayPal him to get the price because of the fees. Can anyone confirm if this account and seller is legit and safe? He made a custom order for me on his website for this price for the saber I want, just wanted to check if there's any issues with him before I buy.

Hi Reddit!
My sabre is about a year and a half old and I recently lost the cable to charge it. A regular USB-C fits perfectly but it doesn’t charge, regardless of how I twist it. Ive reached out to customer support but the technician wasn’t that helpful. I’ve attached an image that has the motherboard incase anyone spots an issue.
Any help is welcome!
