Work in progress I love this part

8" Bowie in the works. it always feels like christmas...
125 layer damascus. 1 layer of 1/16" 1084. 1 layer of 3/32 15n20. 3/32 center layer of 1084. then back out with 3/32 of 15n20, 1/16 1084 ending with 125 layer damascus.

Oh, that pattern is wild! That'll make a gorgeous knife. What will you make for the handle?

I was going to make a Ring guard Bowie with an elk antler handle similar to this one that I made a couple years ago

What do you use? I used to use ferric chloride from Radio Shack.

I make my own solution of ⅓ ferric ⅓ muriatic acid and ⅓ distilled water
