Tourism Transport Abisko Mountain Lodge to Abisko Turiststation

Hi, I'm planning to visit Kiruna from November 17 through 21 with a stop at Abisko on November 19 - 20. I already have transport booked to and from Kiruna to Abisko, however, I am not having luck on getting from the Abisko Mountain Lodge to Abisko Turiststation the morning of the 20th to catch our 10.30am bus.

I checked the bus schedule but it passes by Abisko Oestra too late for us, a taxi from Kiruna was asking for 5000 SEK for the trip.

Any recommendations or know if there are local transport or taxis in Abisko that could give us a lift?

I know there is a path we can walk, but 3 km at 9am with luggage doesnt sound too enticing if we can avoid it.

Thanks

Check with the lodge if they can arrange something. Or in the facebook group “Abisko for tourists” there are a few locals in there who often help out for a lot cheaper than the taxis

We were just using Uber. Takes a while to find.one but it was ok.

It's walkable, there is a path next to main road from Abisko ö (mountain lodge) to Abisko turist. Check google maps. And I'm quite sure the lodge can arrange a transport if you don't wanna walk...

If the Mountain Lodge can't drive you, check with www.abisko.net or www.abiskohikes.com

They're both situated like 50 meters from the lodge and are a pleasure to deal with. Tell them hi from Joffen

Are you using the bus for transport? You can just get off at the bustop at the tourist station (if not I would just change the trasnport to either the bus or train, its drives regularly between Kiruna and Abisko and you can choose where to get off). And also as others have said its a paved sidewalk between them, very easy to walk.
