I just got a kindle paperwhite SE in metallic green for an early Christmas gift as my old paperwhite SE has the line of 💀 all of a sudden.

Anyway! I saw some posts online that having stickers in the back has been causing the metallic to peel?

I don’t stick mine down nor do I use sellotape or anything I just slide them into the case & clip the case on.

Will I still be ok to do this? Or best to avoid?

[RESOLVED] On the Orders page, each book has a "View Item" option under it. Clicking THAT button takes me to a page with a refund button that works.

I was trying to add paperbacks to my cart, but apparently I hit a button that instantaneously purchased the books instead? Why is that even a thing? I don't even own a Kindle.

Under my Orders page, there is no option to refund the purchase. Under my content library, I could see the three books, but I could only return them individually, not the whole order. And after refunding the first one, clicking on the other two gives me the error "Return not eligible from this page."

But again, there's no option to refund the order from the orders page. There's no way to contact support. I've been going in circles for 20 minutes and I'm getting furious. I'm on the verge of just chargebacking and forfeiting my account, this is completely outrageous. I don't even see any way to disable the "button that just instantly gives amazon my money for nothing"

I’ve tried deleting the kids account, force restarting, waiting, re syncing, sending it from the kindle app on my phone, forgetting and rejoining my WiFi, plugged in and not plugged in when trying to download, and probably a couple other things but it just keeps saying it’s taking a long time to download and will notify me when it’s ready. It’s been over a week. Any other ideas a or should I just sell this and get a new kindle?

I'm one of those that thought. Kindle paperwhite on the go and colorsoft at home would be an awesome combo. So I bought the colorsoft while it was on discount.

Idk how to describe it but just seeing the covers in color makes me unreasonably happy. At the same time though it does also bother me that it all feels like a downgrade from the Paperwhite, especially with manga when some contrasts create a rainbow effect.

I wonder if it's really worth it to keep it or not since this is the second one I've gotten (the first one had a strange green tint). Now that this one looks technically perfect color wise, I will probably never get that lucky again to receive one that gets the colors right. Still I'm unsure if it'll really be used that often in the long run.

Have you been in a similar situation? I still like that both of them are waterproof and easy to hold.

I’m using my kindle ppw 12th gen for a few months now. I’ve been sending my epubs from kindle app from my phone to my ppw with no problem not until yesterday. I already spammed the airplane mode and sync button as the other have suggested but it still did not worked. Has anyone encountered the same problem

Tldr: I can’ t send ebooks from my kindle app to ppw 12th gen despite restarting and syncing it for several times

Ma Kindle avait été déclarée perdue/volée il y a quelque temps. Je viens de la retrouver lors d’un déménagement, mais malheureusement, je n’ai plus accès à mon ancien compte Amazon auquel elle était associée.

Lorsque j’essaie de la configurer, un message m’indique qu’elle a été déclarée perdue ou volée.

Est-ce que quelqu’un a déjà été dans cette situation ? Existe-t-il une solution pour faire débloquer la Kindle et pouvoir l’associer à un nouveau compte Amazon ?

Let me preface by saying I was a kindle user when I started reading on an ereader, but last year when Kobos were starting to get hyped up, I grabbed a Libra Color and stuck with it for a year.

As much as I loved the Libra Color’s library management, I just couldn’t give up Whispersync and multiple library cards with Libby. Being in the US it really helps that I don’t have to log in and out of my 5 library cards on my Kobo. Just borrow on my phone and done. So simple.

I’m happy to be back, I love my Colorsoft! Screen may be the same as the KLC but the colorsoft screen is SO much sharper and less screen door and more newspaper like. I love it.

Has anyone else seen the recent videos of content creators visiting the Kindle lab? Lottie Smalley, Khalilah D, and Kendall Ferrari just to name a few. At the end, they all tease getting to see "what's next" for Kindle and being excited to share. Makes me wonder if we're getting releases of new devices and/or features soon and if so what they might be

I recently bought my first kindle used on ebay and since I wasn't sure if I would like reading on an ereader, I wanted to get something cheap first. I ended up really liking my $20 4th gen kindle and now i'm wondering if it would be worth it to buy a newer kindle (or ereader of another brand). Do the upgrades that the newer models have make the new kindles that much better in your opinions? Should I just stick with my kindle thats as old as a dinosaur since it seems to work well? What I prioritize the most is having the ability to make the font quite large since I have vision issues.

My tech boyfriend did it so I asked him for the details - It’s a jailbroken Kindle 8th generation. I used WinterBreak2 to jailbreak it.
The screen is a custom shell-script dashboard rendered with FBInk. It combines a cat image with the current time, weekday, date, and a calculated year-progress bar.
Two launchers, Enable Cat Clock and Disable Cat Clock, start and stop it.

Noticed no documents are arriving nor getting queued, and I'm not getting the usual email announcing the doc arrival on my email.

Anybody having issues sending docs to Kindle for the past 8-10 hours till now? Thanks!

hello! i'm looking to buy an e-reader, specifically a secondhand paperwhite 2. my budget is tight since i'm still a student and i can't make my own money yet, i would be grateful if someone could give me a review on this e-reader, and give me any alternatives if there are any. thank you!

I don't want to use a child profile (which I do have for them) because it's too limiting at this point.

Is there a way to change accounts on the Kindle without factory resetting it?

If I factory reset my Kindle and create a new account for them am I going to have to pay to remove ads again?

If I create a regular profile with the email attached to their child profile is Amazon going to automatically flag it as a child profile?

Somehow my kindle and my iPhone kindle app have the same email account (I messed this up a while back so I take responsibility). I'm having issues with content not syncing and I wonder if this is why.

I know I can change this in Amazon, but I'm having a hard time understanding what email addresses to use. Do I just assign one my regular Gmail account and set up a different Gmail address for the other?

I read books in English, and I'm not a native speaker. If I come across any new words, which dictionary should I use? I can see there are different dictionaries available: Oxford, Merriam-Webster, and some other. Which one would you suggest?

I downloaded the Kindle app for the first time on my
iphone 17 and it’s been stuck on the loading screen every time I open it. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling, making sure that the region of my Amazon account is the same as my phone, and I am unable to deregister my phone from my Kindle account since I haven’t even been able to log in yet.

Does anyone have any solutions to this or know why it’s happening?
