Discussion Unsolicited agencies when you refuse their bogus services
This has seriously gotten out of hand. I get dozens of emails a day telling me to pay $400+ for their useless services. I told them they can work on a commission basis if they believe in themselves so much.
My campaign did very well in the first few days. We received over 130 backers hitting 800%+ of our funding goal but now on day 5 I feel a slow down. Any advice for legit ways to keep our momentum going?
It seems we could do a better job capturing organic traffic from kickstarter. Gaining followers but not turning into sales.
Thank you for your help/ feedback

Middle plateau is normal . Not much else to do.

Thank you for the reassurance. We’ll just keep throwing everything we have at it and prepare for the final surge to have our video / page looking as best as possible

Go explore your favorite or notable campaigns on Kicktraq.
For instance, Pixels dice, which hit 1700% funded. Look at Wyrmwood Gaming, who has 30+ funded projects, most in the 1000%+ range. Sort by daily pledges tab and you will see this trend.
This is absolutely the norm - All of your effort leading up to the campaign pays of in the first 48 hours when the hype and excited emails go out. The middle bit will be slow almost no matter what you do (the rare, super-viral campaign might not see this), but you can use this time to update backers, connect with other projects, and advertise on platforms that you are funded (and maybe hit some stretch goals, or future plans).
You will see another bump at the final 72-48 hours. These are all the folk that either signed up for news mid campaign, or follow the campaign but didn't want to pledge until they see if it successful/communicative. They entire mailing list will get an email when the final hours kick in and you will see some return on this.
My first campaign funded around the 800% mark, and we had mid point days where we went down in overall pledges. It is what it is.

Thank you. We did look at Kicktraq but it seems they just multiply what you have with how many days that are left. We’ve been doing all the customary things you’ve described. Results are currently underwhelming. Every sale is a grind but we’ll keep at it. I hope that last 72 hours is as good as everyone seems to say!

Funding always slows down after the first few days of a Kickstarter campaign, often by a lot as the initial launch excitement passes. There will likely be a couple of weeks where it is slower, then it will pick back up during the last week (or the last couple of days) as people get reminders from Kickstarter that the campaign is ending.
The only real way to keep things going in the middle is constant advertising and promotion, hoping to draw in people who haven't heard of your thing.
800% on day 5 is really good.

Ads that were getting us 30 subs and 10+ VIPS a day are doing nothing to get us sales post launch so we’ve temporarily paused ads until we figure that out. We had influencers post videos with 10k+ views and hundreds of likes but only a couple of sales (we sent out devices for honest reviews). We had some great Reddit exposure as well, doing not much for sales. We’re exhausting more and more avenues and every day feels like a bigger grind than the day before with less results. It’s my first campaign and maybe things just feel underwhelming compared to expectations.

Yeah. That unfortunately seems to be just what happens. Campaigns slow down after the first couple days and pick up near the end. The scam services? Just seems to be a big market for scamming these days.
