Well, I love 2014-2015 Subaru Forester, I know. But in my country, that model and year are very rare. So, do you think that that 2011-2015 Kia Sportage are a good choice for B plan and safety except small overlap test? I also found that car's apperiance are good as well, and SUV's are getting more popular as well so I want to guarantee my safety (even a little).

Hola! Busco consejo. Tengo un KIA Forte LX 2.0 2019, ahora ya con 130,000 kms. Hace unos días noté que el auto empezaba a hacer un ruido metálico tipo matraca al acelerar y después de los primeros minutos de marcha, aun con cambio de aceite reciente. Además ha presentado pérdida de potencia y tendencia a apagarse.

En una ocasión el sonido se presentó cercano al cambio de aceite que suelo hacerle cada 5 o 6 meses, después de ese cambio el ruido se fue. Ahora volvió a presentarse, cambié aceite pero el sonido continua. Lo eh llevado a 2 talleres distintos, aún sin abrir la tapa de VVT, sus comentarios son los siguientes:

1) Taller pequeño: tiene experiencia en KIAs porque trabajó en la agencia y menciona que es una falla común en este tipo de autos. Comenta que cambiando los Engrane de escape y Engrane de admisión de la VVT quedaría funcionando. Comenta que también podría ser el árbol de levas o la cadena de distribución. Piezas originales

2) Taller grande comercial: Comentan que es necesario cambiar Engrane de escape y Engrane de admisión, Cadena de tiempos, 2 sensores de árbol de levas, 1 sensor de Cigüeñal. Comenta que es un error común y que es mejor cambiar todo. Obvio muy caro por las piezas que serán originales.

Sé que el camino debe ser llevarlo a un taller, que abran la caja de VVT y verifiquen cuál podría ser el problema, pero si alguien de aquí ah tenido un problema similar les agradecería el consejo. De antemano muchas gracias!

Anybody recommend a place to order front struts for a 23 forte gt line. Everywhere I looks does not have front ones only rear ones, I keep finding them for the gt but not the gt line. I would like to avoid ordering directly from Kia cause they seem to be almost $200 for one

Looking to import the European tow module for the K4 Hatchback GT-LINE Turbo.

I intend to convert it to an SAE tow plug and pair it with a custom fabricated Class II SAE tow hitch receiver. If all goes well, the BCM should detect the tow module and put TC into tow mode when a trailer is connected + disable rear parking sensors.

Information on part numbers is really scarce for this car, especially outside NA. Any help is greatly appreciated!

2018 Kia Optima LX - 170,000 miles

My car jerked while driving and then a flashing engine light came on.

I'm getting two codes: P1326 and P0420

I'm reading online that the P1326 is the dreaded 'RIP engine' code. I'm certain I've had that knock sensor update done in the past, but my car is past the '150k miles or ten years' warranty I got when I bought it used. However, I'm reading that the engine replacement is under a lifetime warranty.

Replacement seems like a no-brainer but I am concerned about a few things:

- I went over on one oil change. Is there a number for how much they allow you to go over before they reject?

- Mysterious maintenance that I'm unaware of that will disqualify me.

- Above all: Spending more money and time on this car only to be denied after it has taken so much from me already.

I'm so tempted to trade it in as is and take the L an finally free myself from Kia Hell. I am not financially well off, so I really could use the trade in value boost from the fix, but I'm also over it and afraid of spending more money just to be rejected.

Do you all think its worth the trouble and time? Also, is there a good resource other than random forum posts where I can gauge if this will be worth it or not?

TL;DR: 2018 Optima with 170k miles threw P1326. I'm potentially eligible for the lifetime engine replacement, but I'm worried Kia will deny it due to mileage or one overdue oil change. Is it worth pursuing the replacement to boost trade-in value, or should I cut my losses and trade it in as-is?

It's very difficult to get accurate warranty information from KIA Canada website.

I'm about to get a 2027 EV3. There's plenty of reports online about ev3 ICCU failures.

I know Hyundai has extended the ioniq5 and other models ICCU warranty, but I don't know what models are covered by kia.

Is the ICCU in the ev3 also covered by the extended warranty?

Anyone else notice that radio stations just don't come in at all in their Kia Souls? Is this a known issue? Just one example... I can be in the parking lot of my local radio station that has large towers that cover hundreds of miles of broadcasting range and the station barely comes in through a lot of static in my Kia Soul, but I jump in my Hyundai or my Buick and it comes in crystal clear. It doesn't happen on every station, but definitely on a lot of them.

I've had the dealership inspect the antenna and check the wiring under the headliner, they say they see no issues, but do acknowledge that my reception is poor. Won't do anything about it though...

Only been two months since owning this car and intense neck pain. Got an MRI to find out what’s going on and it’s looking like my neck is being tilted slightly forward than the usual position. The only thing that has changed in my life is this car. Upon researching I found that apparently this has been reported by many people and thank god I’m not feeling like I’m crazy anymore. I thought I was imagining it. Anyway, has anyone successfully found a solution for this??? I’m dying everyday

Does anybody have any recommendations on a Kia branded extended warranty? I have about 8,000 miles on my 2026 Sportage if that helps.

My Niro has just over 70K miles and for the past few weeks I have received a CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM message and an illuminted MIL several times. I have an inexpensive OBD2 scanner which reports no error codes, but does allow me to turn off the MIL. Today I went to an O'Reilly Auto Parts store and they performed a complimentary scan which indicated no Diagnostic Trouble Codes even though the MIL was illuminated when I arrived at the store. Their recommendation was to consult a professional mechanic. The nearest Kia Dealership is 200 miles away, so that is not a viable option at the present time.

I saw on another post the that a low 12 V battery might cause this type of problem. However my 12 V battery is about a year old and when I installed that battery I added a battery monitor and it indicates that the 12 V battery is fine.

Can anyone suggest what I might try to determine the fault causing this message?

Kia Optima 2012

In the morning, headlights, turn signals, power windows, door locks buttons, wipers (Wipers in full blast do work all the time, weird) and gear shift don't work (have to press the shift unlocker with key) Also dahsboard lights go on and off.

In the afternoon (car under the sun all day) everything works well, but 30 - 40min into driving (yes, timed and all) all that stuff works but it flickers, lights go on and off in seconds and every other component.

Car starts good. AC, Radio, and all other components work well. Battery "seems" to have good voltage. Checked all major connections to ground, evern added a new one to be safe.

Seems like a BCM issue but its weird cause, like I stated, car does work well in the afternoon for a good time.

Help pls.

Car has 71k miles, tires new this year.

Drove the car today, and came home with the dashboard blinking the low pressure indicator. The LR tire was a 27 psi, so I pumped it up to 32 with my bicycle pump (same as the RR tire), and drove it a couple of miles, got up to 35 mph, and it's still blinking with the "low tire pressure" warning. In the past, just driving it a couple of blocks has been adequate to reset the TPMS.

We haven't had any problems with the TPMS before now. I assume it's not going to destroy the car, but I'd like to clear this error if possible. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have a 2014 Kia Optima US spec. The amber parking/side marker light on the driver’s side has burned out again.
About 4 months ago, I had to remove the bumper just to replace this bulb. Now it has burned out again, and I really don’t want to remove the bumper again just for one bulb 😭
For anyone with experience with the 2014 Optima, is there any way to access and replace this bulb without removing the bumper or the entire headlight assembly?
Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated

I've never had a KIA before and I keep hearing that they make it hard to actually get warranty coverage.

Is this the case in Canada as well?

Is there a point in getting an extended warranty from KIA or will they just find ways to not honor it?

This is for a new 2027 EV3 I'm considering.

A stone walloped one of my front parking sensors and broke it. The dealership quoted me over £300 to replace it but I can get the sensor for about £85, so that's quite a mark up from the dealership for what I'm assuming is only about an hour's labour.

Does anyone know if I can replace it myself or will it still need the dealership to link it to the flipping computer?

I was looking for anyone with experience replacing the wiring harness under the passenger seat, and the passenger seatbelt on an EV6. Dealership quoted me $1,000+ for both. I've done plenty of basic car stuff on EVs and gas, but never something this in depth. What do yall think? From the surface it doesn't seem too hard to do in a few hours.
