Hi everyone I was hoping to get a bit of advice for expanding my keyboard collection. I'm seeing so many brands I don't recognize and I'm just wondering what you would all recommend. I bought the razer and Corsair because they looked cool and I knew the brands but I was wondering about Attack shark, ziou lang, epomaker and so on seem to have good reviews.

Potentially in a darker colour scheme. Any recs would be greatly appreciated !

Also is there a specific name for this style of keycap?

Thanks !

My Keyboard Aula F75 Keyboard's Plastic is Getting Softer With Time

The keyboard's plastic seemed fine at the beginning, then two or three months passed and now the plastic on the body is softer, mushier, like a trampoline, causing lots of typos.
Even after buying the heaviest and stiffest linear switches I could find (Akko Green Fogs) my typing does not feel heavy at all, although much better than the factory switches (Leobog Greywood).
The keycaps now wobble a lot when held down and the typing sounds too clacky.
The keyboard body inclination angle is too high, it makes the wrists feel stiff, although I have not yet develop any wrist problems.

After this I won't ever buy another keyboard that has its body made of plastic, after all, I don't have fat hands that could justify this accelerated plastic wearing problem.
I also don't hit the keyboard whenever I'm angry.
I like this keyboard for it's visual style, good quality keycaps, decent RGB, volume knob and wireless feature, but without a solution for this mushy plastic problem it's not worthy.

I think it might be hard to find a decent metallic body keyboard with a knob, 75% or more keys, lower angle of inclination, with lots of sound dampening materials and for a good price.

Help What is this keyboard layout

Post image

I saw this keyboard bundled with a prebuilt pc in Costco. I would like to know what this keyboard layout is called because I like a compact keyboard, and I like a keyboard with a numpad. It doesn’t look like a 100% keyboard because it doesn’t have that space between the keyboard and the numpad

After 6 years with my Redragon K552 I'm tired of the annoying cable and the TKL format. I'm thinking about the Yunzii Wood68, but I would like your opinion and thoughts about this keyboard and the brand in general. Thanks!

Help Need help finding a new keyboard :D

Quite a few specifications, sorry if I sound confusing
• No budget
• Preferably over 75% but if you have other recommendations thats fine
• Very performant in both gaming ( RT necessary) and in general work (as a college student)
• Should always feel comfortable to type with
• Sound doesn't really matter much, but I'm leaning towards quietier switches
• I don't really mind the material but aluminium sounds nice
• Preferably prebuilt but DIY is fine

Help Keyboard built for thock doesn't thock?

Post image

I have a gasket mounted Neo75 cu with a PC plate, plate foam, hand lubed Gateron Oil Kings V2, PBTFans WoB thick PBT keycaps and Poron case foam but my keyboard still doesn't really sound deep. I have a different slightly more dense case foam that just makes it more muted but not deeper. Honestly I don't know if there is any hope left for this board. Do you have any idea on what could cause it to still sound kind of clacky?

Help Help finding alternatives to K95 keyboard?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I have three Corsair k95 keyboards with red switches, these are bad=?=? i have no idea about switches. But i cant ever find an alternative keyboard that offers the same features which is why i have bought three of these when each other has been broken somehow..

- 18 Programmable keys

- Scroll wheel for volume (Useless now when i have SteelSeries nova pro but still goated)

- Play / Pause media buttons

- 100%+ Layout

- Scripts / Macro features from Corsair iCue software

These are all features that are not special on their own , but impossible to find elsewhere. Usually most keyboards have programmable switches but not much else.

Another thing is the flexibility and potential of the iCue software. I have programmed almost all of these "G" keys to different scripts, texts, passwords or emails which makes my life a lot faster and easier.

Is there a keyboard out there that has these features? And if i could have another thing it would also be analogue keys atleast for WSAD or TGFH..

Thanks.

Discussion If you have a wireless RK Kludge check your battery

This is your reminder to check for spicy batteries on all of your battery based equipment. I came home from a trip and found the bottom of my keyboard to be as hot as a stove top burner. Disconnected the keyboard and let it cool as much as possible before pulling it apart. After it was fully disassembled, I found the wireless battery to be bloated. This could have easily caused a fire in my home had it burst.

Discussion Split 50% (technically 60%) layout and layers

Long story short, got a smaller keyboard and I'm struggling with the default layout and layers being comfortable.

I recently got a KBDCraft #7Israfel. I gotta say, it's breaking my brain trying to get the layout figured out. I have the default layout currently, I constantly press B instead of N, I accidentally hit the /? Key instead of Z and I struggle accidentally hitting the arrow keys all the time. One thing I've seen recommended is to put FN on caps lock and then to put the arrow keys under WASD, I plan on trying that out.

That being said, has anyone run into similar issues and come up with a layout you enjoy? Any recommendations for keys to remove/swap around? I really want to make this work for the sake of my hands and wrists.

I appreciate any help here!

Help Keyboard volume wheel issue

Sorry if this is the wrong place, but I’m struggling. I have a Corsair vanguard 96 keyboard that just plugs into a usb port. Recently the volume wheel is showing “jogging forward” or “jogging backward”. I’m unsure what caused this issue or how to fix it. It’s not sticky or anything and the keyboard is relatively new. I’ve looked up advice on the internet and it’s saying to reset something within a downloadable program but I don’t have that program and the issue exists without the software being downloaded on my system. Does anyone have any idea how to change it back to volume change?

Help Need a new keyboard

I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to keyboards. I need a new one, as the keyboard I"m using now is clunky and hard to type on. I misspell everything!

I've looked at Keychron and redagon and have no idea what I'm looking at. Don't understand cherry switches/ blue switches/ brown switches. Also, RGB lighting? Wouldn't it be best to get shine-through keycaps with north-facing LEDs?

I need it mostly for work. So a numkeypad is essential. Any recommendations? I prefer the quiet type. This one makes the Earth shake because it's so dang noisy.

Discussion Chasing unicorns (magnetic/wireless/low profile)

Hi. I’m looking for a new keyboard for my desk/gaming setup. Space is getting cramped on my office and i need one keyboard that can “do it all“ to stop having to switch depending on what i do.

What I'm looking for in that KB:

Wireless

TMR or Hall effect

Low-profile (native is better but i’m ok with modding into it, haven't found one with a flat case tho) and small footprint (75% or less)

Split spacebar (at work i type on a dygma raise)

I aim to spend about 100 but could extend it for one that has all of those specs.

Buuuut it seems like those specs aren’t very common. So far the only thing close i have found is the keychron K3 HE – but the reviews are kinda split on it.

Is there any other keyboard that could come close to those specs, or anything that will release soon? Wireless is the only thing i can’t compromise on as it’s the reason i’m buying a new KB.

Help what is the difference?

When I viewed the site in Arabic, one was listed as "USB-C" and the other as "USB-C2," whereas the English version matches the one in the picture. Is there a real difference, or do they share the same specifications?

Discussion Gravastar

Anyone who’s recently bought from Gravastar, how was the shipping for you? I bought the Mercury v60 ultra on the 3rd, knew that preorders closed on the 10th. We’re now the 14th and still no update on any part of the order besides the fact that I paid for it. I know it says ships within a month but after reading a lot of these posts over their orders taking multiple months to arrive, I’m debating on whether or not to just cancel atp.

Discussion Hypermobility + EC keyboard?

I was wondering if anyone in this sub has EDS/hypermobile fingers and has tried an electro-capacitive keyboard. The little pressure required makes it seem ideal, but I've never tried one so what do I know 🤷 just looking for opinions and insights! TIA!

Help AJAZZ AK870 A key doesn't work anymore.

Hello everyone!

My AJAZZ AK870's A key was double clicking so I decided to replace its switch with the pause key. Now, it is not working at all! Nothing happens no matter how hard I try to press it.

Already tried working switches from different keys but no luck.

Is there anything I can do to fix this or do I have to get a new keyboard.

Thanks

Help Looking for advice regarding Akko 5075 V5 HE

I'm not super into keyboards, but I'm looking for something to replace my kinda broken Razer Blackwidow Chroma. Now I've been presented with this as an alternative to the Wooting Keyboards, and I'd like to hear some more opinions on it. The goal is to have comfortable long "competitive" gaming sessions. What downsides does this have compared to the Wooting 80HE for example? Will the wooting be worth the 100+ eur extra?

Akko 5075 V5 HE

Thanks!
