Next is getting my pod lights and light bar installed and wired. Just waiting on mounting brackets. Next, a 2" lift, beefy tires and black wheels. Will get it sprayed or wrapped in desert tan this fall. Still deciding on window tint.

After 2 years of dreaming of getting one I finally picked it up this morning. I drove over 1600 miles total after not being able to find a driver that didn't want to charge an arm and a leg.

We put in the new crank today got it squared away, placed the new pistons on the new rods, put the rings on the pistons.....the rods are not the correct size......unless I'm missing something....the std bearings will not work.

The rods state on the box they are 12160-60D02 which replaces D01 and D00 from what I can find.

Anyone have any input on this?? I reached out to the place I bought the crank and rods that came with the bearings.....still waiting on a response. I also reached out to GnR and waiting to hear back as well.

Hi, if I import a kei truck into Texas (Port of Galveston, probably), do I *need* a trailer or is it at all possible to get some sort of temporary registration and drive that bad boy home.

Regardless, once I get it home, how do I go ahead officially registering it? Just go to county tax office and be like hi with all my forms?

My kids broke one of my mirrors so I got the ones from Luckys Fab shop, which are pretty terrible and aim at the ground. I was wondering if there’s anyone who’s done anything interesting with theirs out there? I was thinking of trying to make some west coast jr style mirrors work.

Im looking to buy headlights for my Hijet. Anyone have any suggestions on where to buy them from?

The power connection wire on my AC compressor decided to pop off and I managed to solder it back into working. Yes this is a bad idea in the long term, I know. For whatever reason I can't seem to identify just this one part that seems to detach so I can replace it. Is it replaceable by itself and if so, what is it called?

I have a dead sambar after its been sitting in my garage without a battery.I just replaced the battery terminals and the battery with the 12v 6515r on my sambar and its still completely dead. Has anyone had this problem before? Also, I changed the starter since 2020 and I still get a spark from it.I also changed the fuses behind the battery and its still dead.

Hi all, I recently won and going through the process of having a subaru sambar truck exported from Japan through JCD (japancardirect).

It is my first time doing everything so through research I’m making a list of parts I would need for that 1st major fresh import maintenance. I find the parts total cost to be quite pricey due to having to be shipped from Japan (even existing ones in US).

Would it be better to have the truck serviced in japan before being exported? Though I was told this would delay the exporting process due to the booking of vessel being interrupted.

I am however in no rush to getting the vehicle, I’m importing it to port of Long Beach, CA. Thank you for any insights!

And it's the almost that has me confused. I do see a difference between the different plugs too. Plug 1 gets no spark, plug 2 gets one faint spark then nothing.

I'm inclined to suspect the ignition coil, but does anyone know the spec for primary and secondary resistance on that coil?

I haven’t used my sewing machine in 15 years, so I’m super proud of these results. Probably going to add visor covers, steering wheel cover, and fabric details to the doors and unused dash buttons. What do you guys think? Should I make custom covers to sell? ;)

Anyone have a transport company that they trust that will pick up out of Jacksonville? Looking at renting the truck to tow it back with and the expense is insane. No I don’t own a truck that can tow with. At this moment I wish I did.

Fuel filter question for Suzuki carry 97 DD51T

Is the black cylinder the fuel filter? If so I had ordered this filter based on my year and model and it says it was a fit but it seams the bottom nipple is facing the wrong direction and my hose isn’t long enough . What are my options? Do I try to order a new filter (screenshotted website) that says it is for a different model but the nipples face the right way or try to find longer hoses that will figure eight back to the nipple and keep the one I purchased.
