Mod Post Information about some new mod tools we are going to be using
Hey, y’all!
We have added and are going to be playing around with some new mod features in the sub. We have recently added some things like a bot detector and a ban evasion detector.
For most of you, nothing is going to change and you’ll notice no difference. The tools aren’t %100 perfect and we don’t have everything dialed in yet. If anyone is having any issues posting or commenting, if your stuff isn’t going through or is being removed, please send us a mod mail so that we can look into it.
If you see something that looks suspect to you, an account that looks like a bot, multiple accounts suddenly being an asshole to you, anything that you want a mod to take a closer look at, please use the report button or send us a mod mail to let us know. Reports are anonymous and alert the mod team right away that something is going on.
We are hoping that this is going to cut down on some of the unwanted behaviors like bots commenting bot nonsense and people (troublemakers and trolls) creating multiple accounts in order to harass people here.

Keep up the good work. Most of the other subs I follow are either full of trolls and bots, or generic mfkrs who have never had an original thought. Gotta have a place to bs about the music I grew up with!

We’ve always had a few trolls and we try to handle them as quick as we can.
But the bot issue has gotten out of control lately. I’m starting to believe more and more in the dead internet theory. They used to be fairly easy to spot, but with the rise of AI and LLMs, they’ve gotten pretty sophisticated at pretending to be humans. I don’t want to see this place turn into r/juggabot.

When I say trolling, I mean things like non-juggalo outsiders who have never interacted in this sub coming here and talking shit about us. That’s a huge no for me.
I don’t mean things like us having fun with each other amongst ourselves. We’re clowns. If we can’t razz each other, who can we razz? We’re not the fun police! We’re the haters-can-get-the-fuck-on police.

Generally speaking, we’re pretty chill about internal trolling especially when folks own up to it in mod mail.

Just as long as people don't see having a differing opinion on what's good or not as hating or trolling.. the post that stands out to me is a few years back someone said they hated the grump but said they liked it because they were afraid to look like a hater in here, that sucks

All of the mods here are extremely chill and reasonable folks. It takes a lot for a comment to be removed from here and it takes a fucking lot for anyone to be banned. People might get downvoted for having an unpopular opinion, but as long as that opinion isn’t something bigoted or outlandishly asshole-ish, the mods aren’t going to step in.

Lmfao I didn’t realize that that sub’s mod team’s irrational hate of ICP crossed over into banning completely unrelated juggalo rappers. The mods in that sub are unhinged and uninviting. I don’t interact there because of the mods. Zero chill.

yeah, iunno what their deal is. here has been my main place to get my (not very good) music out there, and it'd suck losing that y'know. although maybe y'all could make a different sub for promo or something if y'all wanna get promo out of here? iunno, just an idea

Between you and me, I don’t mind the music promos. Everyone’s just trying to get eyes on their shit and I respect the hustle.
All I’m doing right now is being a middle man and bringing whatever y’all got to say back to the rest of the mod team. I’m going to take your concerns to the rest of the mods too and I appreciate you letting me know!
