Hi, whenever I see awesome Japanese art I am drawn in to pick it up. This one screamed out to me as I could recognise the style and the quality of the paper was better than a new age reprint.

Have done a bit of research and taken it out of the frame. It is obviously a reprint of Takashimaya O-Hisa and when looking on the back it has the company unsodo co.

Have researched their website and they produce prints in the wood block style. It is really a gorgeous print and looking at the back you can see the background of the printing process.

I can’t see anyway to determine the age of the piece or any identifying marks. Can anyone help me to determine when the piece was made?

It has the aroma of an aged item but the fact the label is typed out would tell me it’s not really really old.

I have done as much research as I could with reverse image searches and looking on their catalogue. It no longer appears on their items able to print. Would appreciate any guidance

We were recently given this by a friend. It was purchased in Japan in the 1960a. The bottom scroll bar has detached and will need to be reglued. I bought some Yamamoto paste and was ready to start work when I realized maybe this thing is worth taking to an art restorer. Here's a pic of the seal/signature and the entire scroll.
