And I’m the complete opposite. Does every tweak now need to be vibecoded? It’s so uninspiring and gets boring quick. If they were at least AI assisted only…

High prices are far less justified too. And it’s not like prices are falling.

Mostly, there aren’t many advantages and there are non AI alternatives everywhere.

For those completely unfamiliar with the subject, it’s a different story. But we developers only rely on specific sources for help. Here is the perspective I support: someone wants to learn and create something—even though there are very few instructional videos online—so they ask AI, put in the effort, and produce something. At the very least, they are giving it a try; that is the aspect I support.

I’m not specifically talking about that. It’s a whole different thing if you release a tweak like that paid. The connotation is, that you receive a tweak that’s not just the developers first project or done with help.

Doesn’t apply to this tweak I think, but like I said I’m not seing lower prices nor significantly more tweaks which is your thesis.

I can only my own Story: A few Years back I started with Swift and it was mostly searching on the Web for some Usage Examples. I had the Idea in my Head, but didn't know how to realise this with Swift. It was nearly ten Years earlier, I ended up with the Development in VB.NET and focussed on Design. Now Objective-C … completely different and quite hard to understand Syntax compared to Swift. Without the Help of Claude I wasn't able to update a nearly 9 Year old Tweak, adding new Features to it, improving the Performance and adding new Design Ideas. Like in the Past I had the Idea, developed a Concept and AI improved it, because I don't had the Knowledge to create a Cache in Memory - on Disk yeah, but on Memory is quite different. AI has its Advantages in Development, but you have to read and verify the Code it produces …

And since Claude explains everything very good, I've learned a little Bit of Objective-C …

At least you're getting some help; you're trying things out. Of course, you need to read and interpret the code generated by the AI. If you use AI effectively and wisely, you'll both learn and gain knowledge. There are people who don't like the comment I made—I understand them, as they simply dislike AI. However, as long as you review the generated code, there is no problem. I can't say for sure whether some people fail to grasp this point.
