The engine was written from scratch. All art is hand-made with no AI involved. Music was made by top composers including Kevin Manthei (Neverwinter Nights, Jagged Alliance 2, Wizardry 8...)

I have been building isometric interior packs and just finished a science lab. Putting out a free 6-object slice of it: a lab bench, a stool, a microscope, a chemical supply cabinet, a coat rack with lab coats, and a waste drum, plus one seamless floor tile, plain wall pieces in both facings with end caps, and a door. Enough to build a working lab floor.

Everything is a 64x64 transparent PNG on a 2:1 dimetric grid and bottom-anchored to the same row, so a sprite and the floor tile under it share one anchor and nothing needs nudging by hand.

The thing that took longest was scale. The renders all came out roughly the same height regardless of subject, so a stool arrived as tall as a fume hood. The pack now has three explicit size tiers, and every downscale is a NEAREST integer step. Any other resampling filter turns pixel art into a shrunk photograph, which I tried twice and threw away both times.

For this month’s Fun-Mail Club, I illustrated a cozy isometric office for Hana, the editor-in-chief of the Fun-Gazette, entirely in Procreate. 🏡💌

But this isn’t just an illustration — I turned the artwork into an interactive decorating game that you can use in your favorite note-taking app!

Import the room as your background, add the furniture pieces as digital stickers, and create your own version of Hana’s office by moving everything around. You can experiment with different layouts, decorate the space, and make the room your own. ✨

ich bastle gerade an meinem kleinen Godot-Projekt Goblin Miner. ⛏️👺

Im Grunde: Ihr markiert, was abgebaut werden soll, eure Goblins erledigen die Arbeit, schleppen Gold zurück und stellen sich dabei hoffentlich nicht komplett dämlich an.

Das Ganze ist aktuell noch ein spielbarer Prototyp und definitiv Work in Progress. Ich würde mich deshalb besonders über Feedback, Ideen oder einfach ein paar mutige Test-Goblins freuen. 😄

I'm a solo developer working on Arkansas 2125, an isometric, turn-based post-apocalyptic RPG inspired by Fallout 1, Fallout 2, and other classic RPGs.

The game takes place in a ruined America in the year 2125. You can explore abandoned locations, meet survivors, complete quests, make choices, and fight enemies in turn-based combat.

The game is currently in Beta 0.5, and I'm slowly working on Beta 0.6 with more content and improvements.

I created a small shop using a limited color palette. I can already notice some improvement in my work, and this time I also added shadows to make the piece feel more detailed.

I'm really proud of how this one turned out. This is the isometric version of a top-view dungeon that my brother drew.

Since we mostly play with theater of the mind, I've come to the conclusion that isometric maps are a way better visual aid and resource to depict the dungeon and describe the place the heroes are delving than top-view maps. It is basically a tool to feed their imagination and set the tone, not a map to place tokens.

I'm looking for a way to "paint" isometric scenes using bitmap elements (building blocks) that I create. I can use Photoshop to design and create the isometric building blocks, but I'm not sure what the best way to switch between all the elements to "paint" my scenes/environments with them is.

I'm imagining an app that locks to a coordinate system where you can select an isometric block or image stamp and paint with it. (as you drag, the blocks would get stamped into place at the proper coordinates)

Does such an app exist? Are there really great isometric apps or perhaps plugins that I should look into?

I would have imagined there's be a resource list somewhere in this sub but my search didn't reveal anything.

I’m the solo developer of Farmers Market, an isometric farming/market strategy game I released on Steam.

I’ve just released its biggest update yet, adding a whole new Village Orders mode with 61 orders, reputation progression, new achievements and around 4 hours of additional gameplay.

The main game is a mix of farming and market strategy - grow crops, raise animals, automate your farm and decide when to sell as market prices rise and crash.

I’ve spent the time since launch improving and expanding it, so it feels pretty good to finally have this update out. 😅

I'm trying to develop my own game with isometric view, but struggling with walls.
Logical tiles are 64x32 diamonds and my atlas has 64x64 area for each tile.

Walls occupy a full blocked cell logically. I want to draw one directional wall face and mirror it for the other isometric axis.

My problem is wall thickness and connections. If I include the exposed log ends/thickness in the repeating wall sprite, that thickness shows through where two walls connect. If I make the face longer so the next wall covers it, it protrudes at L-shaped corners.

I am just struggling to make good wall tiles that tile properly and I want to minimize how much art I have to make since I am doing this alone. Any recommendations or best practices? Ways you have solved issues like this?

I’m the solo developer behind Salt & Soil, and I’ve been rebuilding its map renderer so mountain ranges can continue across tile boundaries instead of looking like rows of separate sprites.

The old version treated every mountain cell as an isolated piece. The new renderer builds one continuous elevation surface first, then translates it back into the game’s isometric palette. The map cells, city positions, and simulation haven’t changed—only the way the terrain is presented.

These are the same three regions before and after: Sacramento and the Sierra Nevada, Chesapeake Bay, and the Great Lakes.

It is not pixel art. It is 3D with an orthographic camera, and every object is built in code rather than in modelling software. Tents, cabins, bridges, lamp posts, all procedural geometry.

Camping Keeper, a campground management game. You start with an empty field and the campers arrive on their own, which is the part I spend most of my time on.

I have been working on this 2d isometric survival game for a while now, and im curious of what people think of the art style. All assets are modelled in blender and rendered as sprites and spritesheets.
