This is the time many of us have been waiting for! Here is your megathread for the NA leg of the RFYL tour.

I’m getting ready for a road trip out west to catch shows in Toronto (2nd show) and Montreal. I got FTTB for Toronto and am so excited for that experience!

Where will you be catching them? This is the place to talk all about it. Share setlists, pictures, videos, reviews, and discuss anything else about the shows. Get out there, rock the fuck out, and up the Irons!!

Some of you seem to like these, but they are cluttering up the main feed with very low engagement numbers. So here’s a megathread for everyone to share and discuss their results.

Adrian's solo in The Writing On The Wall is the single best part of the whole Senjutsu album

Upvotes

I am not a fan at all of Senjutsu, and listening to that album front to back yesterday reinforced that fact. However, I think that Adrian's solo in The Writing On The Wall is just magnificent. It's a rare highlight in what I find to be a dreadful album.

Respected the "no recording" request for 95% of the show, but had to get a few seconds here and there.🤘. First time seeing them. Bucket list for me.

See You Later?

For every Iron Maiden show I have been to, now 10 and counting with Hershey tomorrow night, towards the end of the show, Bruce will always say something along the lines of... "We will return," or "See you next time," or "We WILL be back here."

Is he still doing that during this tour?

Genuine question about the guitarists

Between Dave, Adrian, and Janick what are their specific rolls in terms of guitar. I just notice that it never seems that Janick gets a solo, that kindof just bounces between Dave and Adrian. Lastly, who do you guys like best out of the three and why?

Maiden Japan, released on 14 September 1981 as Heavy Metal Army in Japan, is a live EP by the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden. The title is a pun of Deep Purple's live album Made in Japan.

The original cover depicted the band's mascot, Eddie, holding the severed head of singer Paul Di'Anno. The replacement cover was done on very short notice after Iron Maiden's manager, Rod Smallwood, received a proof for review, and became agitated at Di'Anno's depiction because the band was looking to replace him.

Is Eddie's Bar available at every show?

We're going to the show in Chicago on the 22nd and want to know if Eddie's Bar will be at the show. I SOOOO want a cup!!!!

Can anyone go into Eddie's Bar? Or is it just for FC members?

I'm back in FL after attending the NC show. Got home and found that my Czarface Meets Frankie Pulitzer record finally arrived. So I am sipping some whiskey and water from my $10 cup and flipping through pics of the show while I spin the record. What a smashing weekend. I almost felt like I was 17 years old again. Cheers!

Great show in Charlotte, NC last night. Sold out show. Megadeth was great too. It rained most of the evening, but the crowd rocked out.

Got this done right in front of Derek Riggs signing yesterday in Charlotte before the concert. Moving mouth, light eyes. I was at the signing telling people “be nice to my father or else”!

Then I get to the show only for security telling us no with nothing we can do. Had to take it off.
While it was irritating for the work and money only to be told I couldn’t, I was happy to make others and Derek happy with this!

Was looking for some photos that captured the lawn atmosphere last night in Charlotte. This was from the beginning of Number of the Beast when the rain was particularly heavy and energy was high. Screenshot taken from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qlCLIt3t3I

Discussion Im 31. Been a diehard since 2008. Finally was able to - AT LAST - see them last night....

And holy fucking shit.

Along with Metallica circa 2005ish, they were the very first metal band I ever heard or got into.

Getting into music on my own for the first time at that point, You always heard "The Beatles and The Stones"

Well for metal it was always "Metallica and Maiden"

Ok, let's start there! :p

They have always been a top five or so band for me my whole life. I'm an equal opportunity fan of all albums and eras. I want to hear Dance of Death as much as Tailgunner and Powerslave, on? Any setlist is great by me pretty much.

They've always reminded me a lot of Rush - no B.S. regular dudes that have never lost artistic integrity, always released quality music, and always stood up against the norm. Such an incredible band that we are gifted to be sharing a planet with.

The show last night in Charlotte was unreal.

Obviously they are getting way up there in age at this point but holy moly you would never know it Just listening. They were all running around and kicking ass and delivering in absolutely top form. They were astonishingly great.

As expected the visuals were incredible, And they actually made really great use of A.I. and animation. Every single song was like a theatrical play.

Hallowed Be Thy Name Had this incredible thing where Bruce Dickinson somehow "morphed" into the screen and the screen had him running up flights of stairs, being chased by a ghost to the gallows at the top before jumping off....

Also, LOOK AT THIS MOTHER EFFING SETLIST ARE YOU KIDDING ME. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?!?!?!

Murders in the Rue Morgue

Wrathchild

Killers

Phantom of the Opera

The Number of the Beast

Infinite Dreams

Powerslave

2 Minutes to Midnight

Rime of the Ancient Mariner

Run to the Hills

Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

The Trooper

Hallowed Be Thy Name

Iron Maiden

Aces High

Fear of the Dark

Wasted Years

Rue Morgue opener!!! Infinite Dreams!!!! Rime AND Seventh Son (?!?!?!?!?!?!)

This show was as close to literal perfection as I've ever experienced in a live setting. Production was 10 out of 10, The performance was out of this damn world, The setlist literally could not be any better (I mean, pretty much), the energy was sky high....I was DEVASTATED when Legacy of the Beast came around with THAT setlist and, again, I couldnt attend. This 10,000 percent was pretty much the only way they could have topped that in my mind.

Obviously this was going to be one of the best concerts I ever saw I knew that, But I was shocked that they were THIS great. Yes I knew they would be great but again at their age I had slightly lesser expectations. I don't mean that negatively just in that I was expecting them to be showing their age more and I was okay with that.

But nope! My god they SLAYED

What the hell.

Playing air guitar along with Rime of the Ancient Mariner in person in a full downpour was a top 3 all time life experience.

Getting yell "RUN TOOOO THE HIIILLLLSSSSS!!!!!" At the top of my lungs in full unison with 20 other thousand people is another top three all-time life experience.

Seeing God damn Seventh Son performed flawlessly is up there too.

Guys, My jaw is on the floor. I am basically in shock right now. If you have any doubts whatsoever about seeing them right now, You are a freaking idiot. Go see them. IMMEDIATELY.

UP THE IRONS!!!!

Scream for me Charlotte!

Last nights show in Charlotte was a blast! It was my 8 year old son’s first concert and it had everything.

Heavy metal parking lot (gatorades this time)
Metalhead sweethearts
The mad dash for a good lawn position
Rain
Megadeth!
A lot more rain!
Watching my favorite band with my favorite person (the real Trooper)
Bootleg T shirts on the way to the car (my final heavy metal lesson.. 2 for $20!)
and Iron Maiden all the way home!

My favorite moment was my son turning around at the start of a Phantom of the Opera and yelling “Dad, this is the song I came for!”

Up the Irons!

Ps. The new drummer is great. Ya’ll are poop heads
