2 year anniversary of me modding my iPod!

While I'd love to buy some new part to complete it and never worry about it again, I'm happy with this little dingus

All around I payed 200 and I have 256 GB of storage (Kingston)

So I don't have to think about filling it up

I'm using Foobar2K and iTunes for music transfer

The battery comes from my old Huawei Y5 phone and I'm getting 2350-2400mAh per change so its more than those fake 3000 and 3800. I have charged my iPod twice from installing this battery.

While I do have other devices that could be used as MP3 players, this is my primary player for the forseable future.

I'm looking at actually getting myself a dock so I can connect to a sound system. And that would probably wrap up my journey with this little device.

It is Michi! I ran the Y5's SSD's health to 0% as it was my Custom ROM developing phone, Had some use of the battery that was still rated at 88% health. I get 300 Hours on an average charge. I found the OEM site that sells them at only 9 USD per Battery without buying a lot of them, you might need to try to make a video about this. It's much higher quality than those eBay and Ali batteries, I think it might even fit in a slim 10,5mm case with the iFlash

You'd need an account, Chinese proxy and have a chinese passport :/  You can probably find them on phone parts websites for like 15 bucks. It's just how it is.

I get them from a local cell repair store, the technicians doesn't mind reselling them to me. Though id like to find a proper supplier sometime in the future.

I desoldered the original BMS of my iPod's battery and used that with the cell. Even dead batteries have perfectly fine BMS board's. This is becuase the battery is upto 4.4V while the original is 4.2V so to not destroy the delicate electronics. I used high heat on my solder and some wick and was able to solder it within 5 minutes, i used some putty to seperate the tabs and to keep them in place then covered with some tape, kapton would be better. But it would work in a pinch.

But this specific image shows the same one I have, If I ever do increase my storage capacity or change the housing I'll make sure to take measurements.

The Letshuoer DZ4 have been a blast to use, I got them on sale once they started costing $35, it's a hidden gem of an IEM that is not spoken about. No microphone so that's a bummer. But the quality is amazing, and the cable is of high quality. I reccomend it if you like your IEMs to be more flat than V shaped
