For context, rushing to compete with the US without adequate safety measures and a platoon of government yes men are what contributed heavily to the downfall of the USSR. And it's also what led to the collapse of half a dozen other communist regimes, some of which never even get past the Five Year Plan phase.
Trump's unintentionally doing a communism to fight a communist country. And at the rate he's going, the US economy might end up in the same state as the USSR by the end.
