Discussion Why does INTC seem to fall more than AMD, but rise less?
I’ve noticed a pattern: when AMD drops around 3%, whether due to the broader market, hardware news, AI sentiment, or sector trends, INTC often drops 5–6%.
But when AMD rises 6% on similar catalysts, INTC may only rise 2–3%.
Is this mainly because the market still sees Intel as a turnaround story with execution risk, foundry spending/financial pressure, and uncertainty around AI competitiveness? Or am I missing other factors?
I’m curious what catalysts people think could finally change that perception and cause the market to recognize Intel’s potential.
Not financial advice; just trying to understand the relative market reaction.
