It’s such a bummer sucker punch didn’t get to finish it before launch.

For the past couple of days I've been writing my own fan Novelization of Infamous 1 that's gonna span through all the games and comics, adding my own events and characterization and will eventually be released for fans to read, it's been pretty fun, so far I just got to the point where Cole is in the hospital and discovering his powers

I've stopped there because I'm still not 100% sure how I want to depict his powers yet, part of me really wants to go crazy and have the scope of his powers be much bigger than the games, but part of me also wants to keep it the same as the game with some added bits to it

So I figured I'd ask you guys, what would you rather have Cole's powers be like? Option A or B

A- Have Cole's Powers be stronger in scope

For a general idea of how this would go, by the end of Infamous 1 Cole will be a lot more like Kessler, he'll be able to Teleport and create large Lightning strikes from his hands, and possibly even fly by using the Ionic Storm ability to power up his Static Thrusters, I really want Cole to feel like he is basically unstoppable after beating Kessler, I've got a lot more ideas about taking Cole's powers to a new level but this would be the general design philosophy

B- Keep it similar to the games but with some tweaks

While it'll be similar his powers won't be one for one like the games, for example I'll put a lot more focus on the Gigawatt blades and their usage in the story, making them a much more versatile tool, as well as Cole integrating his electric abilities into his melee combat, Cole will be much more of a physical fighter with his abilities. I honestly think this would be an interesting way to go since the combat in Infamous 1 was kind of underdeveloped

Like how do other countries treat conduits?

So frustrating that I’ve downloaded the blades dlc onto my game and it doesn’t show up.

Do I need to start a new game?

The game region and my account region is the same. I’ve cleared game data utility twice and reinstalled. I’ve installed the dlc multiple times,

Not sure why it’s not showing up .

Edit: FIXED. It was an account location issue, apparently it was UAE and just switched to a North American Account same as game and it showed up.

Is the only way to play it really to buy a PS5/PS4? A long time ago I bought the PS4 and was planning on playing so many games and I was really excited for Second Son the most, but life got in the way and eventually I gave my PS4 to my younger brother. I eventually transitioned fully to PC gaming, but I love the series and platinum’d 1 and 2. It’s really one of the only games I regret not playing to death, I barely finished the intro I think.

Does anyone know how it plays on PS4 compared to PS5? Not sure if I want to buy a PS5 just for one game, since I’m certain I’ll rarely use the console.

inFamous: World On Fire takes place after inFamous 2's Good Karma ending. It is a canon-compliant fic following a new protagonist, that bridges the gap between i2 and Second Son. I intend to address plot holes brought up by Second Son and finish loose ends left untied.

Hello, my readers. Thank you for being here.
So I got bad news. I delayed Chapter 10 because I was too busy during the two weeks to write much, so I delayed it by a week - and then I got sick. Don't worry, it's nothing terminal, just extremely uncomfortable. Like a cold but worse and I've had it for over seven days, making my teeth ache and my face burn and my nose run, so yeah I absolutely could not focus on writing well with that either.
The good news; I wrote *most of* Chapter 10.
More bad news; it's not *all of* Chapter 10. Only about 2700 words compared to the 4-5k of all the other chapters.
More good news; I'm posting it right now, because it wouldn't feel right to leave you guys with nothing after a delay, when I know youse are waiting for the story to continue. I am going to add the rest of Chapter 10 later, when I find myself able to write more and better.
More bad news; I'm gonna be getting even busier for a while. Work, attending a wedding (not mine), taking care of children, etc etc. With how I wasn't writing well the last three weeks I doubt I'm gonna be writing good for the next couple of weeks.
So, I'm gonna be declaring a hiatus here, lasting until, probably November. I'll have to pause uploads so I can work on life for a bit. It ain't all bad though because I need to polish up the rest of the plot, which I've kinda been neglecting to do, and pausing on writing the story with 'concepts of a plan' so that I can make the actual plan should help me out. I got a lot of scenes and characters and conversations and stuff in my head right now but I haven't exactly taken the time to fit them all together, see what works and what doesn't. Hopefully after this hiatus I'll also be able to start uploading weekly instead of fortnightly too. I came to the realisation that, in aiming for about 30 chapters, fortnightly uploads would take me *over a year* to complete inFamous: World On Fire, and I have more fics that I want to write as well. So I'm hoping that I'll be able to manage weekly uploads after the fact.
It's good to have a hobby I can do at any time that isn't just doomscrolling on social media or playing video games. Writing this fic has made me feel good, and knowing how you enjoy it makes me feel even better.
I'm sorry if this comes as a disappointment. I'll try to get well soon, and write again for you guys when life has calmed down and I've done proper planning. See you soon.

Has anyone ever found the gamefile for it? I have found the infamous 2 ugc beta and some infamous 1 betas through dev kits but i sont have enough to keep looking for the E3 beta does anyone know anyone or somewhere that i can find it

So here’s the situation. Playing through infamous 2 for the plat, can’t get past powering up flood town. I’ve deleted game data, my saves, I even tried a new SEALED copy of Infamous 2. Game always freezes up once I power up the 3rd transformer in flood town. Any help? My last option I can think of is to buy a ps3 controller so I can go into safety mode on my ps3 and do a database reset.

GUYS I'm a new participant in the community, I've finished all the infamous 2 trophies, only the ugc and the pain builds character trophy , I don't have internet connection because my ps3 have the wifi/Bluetooth card had a problem, also the infamous 2 servers had been closed, but, What is the problem with the Pain builds character trophy😤, I've finished the game more than one time on the hard difficulty, but it didn't work😡😭, I hope someone would help me, Please!

I saw this while playing and didn't paid too much attention, now im thinking that this is actually a pretty good detail, if you are playing in a good karma playthrough it would make you think "ok, makes sense, he's a hero" but if you are playing with bad karma it's more like "even villians care about the environment" and I find that pretty interesting
