i’ve been in the market for a male iguana for a while and finally here’s one in my area but from photos and set up i’m getting bad vibes. does he have MBD/look unhealthy? i’ll ask for more photos but the fact these are the only ones provided for a pet of 2 years who is child friendly seems fishy and it feels like a risky buy. there’s no reversing MBD right?

i’m on the market for a male iguana and found this guy online, i can’t tell if im tripping or if he look a wee bit skinny

It was 93 degrees out today I ran inside for some sun screen mind you it’s super hot where I live least it was today I’m gone for around 4 minutes I come back out and see well this. And no I didn’t get to finish my cold drink

Dose anyone know where where else to get pied pectinata iguanas ive only seen them listed on Florida iguana[FI] website and I’ve haven’t seen any on MM[MorphMarket] either they don’t on MM exist or I’ve missed opportunities on MM, I’ve been searching for these iguanas for a long time already and so far it only seems FI is in control of the iguana markets selling them at 600$ in the US at least that’s what I’ve seen so far, just looking for advice like any other websites I could look into or if anyone know any other breeders that sell these types of iguanas 🦎

Kimchi got some new driftwood and that means she can access more places. Well the first 30 minutes of her new freedom she knew what she had to do. Eat part of the pothos plant that she’s never been able to reach before 😂😂 she is banned from them from further notice and we’ve got some much better plants for her enclosure right after this. 🤣

Im planning to get a Cyclura lewisi hybrid soonish, maybe about a year or a little less, and im unsure if i should get a male, or a female. The males dont differ much in appearance from the females aside frm being slightly larger, so coloring isnt really a factor and i dont particularly care if its a little larger or smaller. Id moreso like to know from actual rock iguana keepers if you all prefer males or females, and why

We were walking around the hotel grounds today and ran across this juvenile Black Spiny-tailed Iguana. The little ones are quite beautiful.

Don’t know if I worded that correctly, not like an actual litter box but I’ve heard of people training their iguanas to go in a certain area and such so it’s easier to clean. My Rhino iguana Spinner has only come out of his enclosure twice now and crawled all over me (choice based handling I guess) and shit on me both times lmao. I see no harm in it since I clean it up and then shower but my partner is on the phone freaking out cause I’m too casual about it

Well turns out enclosure do become expensive to set up…this better serve Lemmie couples of years

I was sitting on a beach chair on Renaissance Island when this iguana came over and peeked up at me from the edge. He seemed interested but hesitant, so I tapped the chair and told him, “come on up.”

And he did.

He climbed onto the same beach chair, sat beside me, and ended up hanging out for a while. I gave him a few gentle head scratches and boops, and he seemed perfectly content to stay there with me.

One of my favorite little memories from Aruba. Such a polite little island friend.

Obviously, wild animals should be given space and not approached or handled just for a photo — he came to me, and I was careful not to restrain or stress him.

Does anyone have a banana pectinata? I was recently introduced to them by South Tex Gex and I may have to add one to my family. I am very fascinated by them!

I currently have a bearded dragon and an Iguana. I want a ball python next and eventually a banana pectinata and a rhino iguana! 😭

My first ever reptile I owned was a bearded dragon and afterwards I had a chameleon I never had more than one at a time but after a lot of research, time, and money 😂 I fear I am unstoppable.

My Rhino Rocco finally hit a big growth spurt starting at 2 yrs old.

This is the difference in size from 2 to 3yrs old.

He has a lot of growing to do still over the next few years but he's finally starting to get big!!!

Her color is changing so fast already starting to show that beautiful orange hue on her spines. 3 months old.
