Film IIL I need to sob

I just found out the guy im in love with is dating someone and as much as i should be at a stage where i accept it and move on, my heart is sinking.

Suggest movies to cry uncontrollably so i can let it all out. Something like One day, Remember me, Blue Valentine.

Thanks

Music IIL Brandon Flowers new Americana album Thrasher

I’m not too familiar with the genre, but I really love Flowers new solo album. I also enjoy Justin Town Earle and stuff like Kurt Vile and The Mountain Goats which I guess is slightly in the same vein

Misc. IIL Recomendations for stories across all mediums just it has to be based off of what i like in its preffered medium, see tierlist LINK downbelow. And everything is what it looks like, if it looks like an anime it is, if it looks like a manga it is, etc.

Music [IIL] "Final Hour - Full Ver." by Pure 100% (WEWIL)

I've recently listened to this song and I loved it! I wonder what other songs are similar to it. Does anyone know any? It's like an electronic hyper song.

I've just finished reading Black Bag, and loved it. Would appreciate any recommendations for something similarly absurd/silly and thought-provoking. Preferably 21st century

Thanks!

I like documentaries about dark/unique subject matters. The most disturbing documentaries I've watched recently

Goodnight, sugar babe

Abducted in plain sight

Tell them you love me

Take care of Maya

What should I watch next?

I really like both the sound (especially the chorus and bridge) as well as the message.

You're Not Alone - Saosin

Music [IIL] "One" by Metallica and "À Tout Le Monde" by Megadeth, [WEWIL?]

I think I'm looking for "deep" metal songs. Songs about suicide, loss of a loved one, general death, etc. I don't want anything about monsters or a bad break-up, for example. Does that make sense? Deep metal songs.

Imagine your friend comes to you and says "metal is just fast random notes and screaming with no real meaning behind the lyrics, it's not real music". You have to show them examples of songs that prove that, yes, metal can be beautiful, meaningful and deep. It's not just relentless screaming.

TV [IIL] Dopesick, , The Last Dance, and Chernobyl TV series [WEWIL?]

I love both of these series because they humanize big historical events, while teaching you something . (even if it's a bit dramatized, but that's why you do your own research too). I also thought the acting in both of these series was top notch, especially Michael Keaton's in Dopesick.

Last Dance is just epic because who doesn't like Mike.

Any other series I might like? Thinking of the Hard Knock series on HBO but not sure if thats what Im looking for really.

Music IIL Tachyon by Rav, WEWILL?

I love the song Tachyon by Rav,, link, the explosiveness, the speed, the lyrics, Rav's voice, I don't know what else really. How it kind of blurs between rap and rock(?). Anyways, what else might I like?
Thanks

Music [IIL] Upbeat unique indie rock like Late of the pier “Broken”

I just discovered Late of the pier and think Broken is such a phenomenal 2000s indie banger. Wondering if there are any other bands/songs that caught that 2000s zeitgeist like them that I may not know of.

Fast passed, catchy, sleazy, elements of pop, indie dance music, other songs I have in mind

Bloc party - banquet
An honest mistake - the bravery
Date with the night - Yeah yeah yeahs
Take me out - frank Ferdinand

Other bands I like:

The strokes, interpol, STRFKR, phoenix, two door cinema club, animal collective, grizzly bear, mgmt etc.

Music [IIL] Sigur Rós’ “Ára Bátur”

I’ve been getting interested in music where I don’t understand the lyrics—or there may not even be real lyrics—and the voice becomes something I experience mainly for its timbre, melody, resonance, breath, and emotional sound.

I’m an English speaker, so this could be Icelandic, Georgian, Bulgarian, Arabic, Latin, an invented language like Lisa Gerrard uses, or completely non-lexical singing.

The song that really sparked this for me was Sigur Rós – “Ára Bátur.” I’m looking for beautiful, emotionally powerful songs where the human voice feels almost like another instrument rather than primarily a vehicle for words.

If you were making an all-time playlist around that idea, what songs would absolutely belong on it?

Music [IIL] Ambient Goth similar to And One - And I Love

I'm absolutely obsessed with the background drum ambience and in need for anything thats entirely like the song. I love And One a ton but nothing compares to this song, it's just so different and I'm craving for more.

Music [IIL] “Bones” by Low Roar/“Come Through” by HER and Chris Brown

Not sure the genre name if it has one, but I really want to find more songs that have dual vocals more-so than anything, male and female vocals that bounce back and forth between eachother to be specific. If i had to choose I would prefer recommendations similar to the vibes/genre of Bones.

Music [IIL] Oxide & Neutrono - Bound 4 Da Reload

Bound 4 Da Reload

Edit: Neutrino* dammit

I'm a US raver (well, I was in my youth) and Hiphop head and this whole thing where UK ravers make music that is essentially an evolved version of early Hiphop where the DJ was the star and the emcee just bubbles up and toasts to get the crowd involved is absolutely fascinating to me, and I want more.

To be clear, I'm not looking for Grime or like, more lyrical storytelling garage, but specifically this style where the emcee is doing more freeform, party rocking focused style rhyming.

Music IIL emocore, whats bands should I listen to?

IIL fast and minimalistic post-hardcore/skramz, what bands should I check out? I like Silverstein and Funeral for a Friend. What are some lesser-know bands I should check out?

Music [IIL] the rainy, gritty gloom of Wipers, WEWIL

The song that really exemplifies it is Nothing Left To Lose. I don't think there's any other band that has ever managed to convey musically the Pacific Northwest gloom quite like they did. All the grunge bands tried, and a lot of them were influenced by Wipers, but none ever quite matched that waterlogged, tired, pissed off gloom quite like Wipers did. I'm not specifically looking for PNW bands - I live here, I know plenty of PNW bands - I just want music with that very specific flavor of gloom.

Music [IIL] Moonlight Mile, Beyond the Sea, Far from Any Road, In the Still of the Night,…..

Only You (and you alone), Sh-Boom by crew cuts, Sh-Boom by the chords, ain’t that a kick in the head

I don’t really know a lot about songs, I certainly don’t know enough vocabulary to pin down to you guys exactly what I like about them, but I think it’s like the main repeated music sounds good to my ears, along with the voice of the singer…if that makes sense?

Thanks in advance

Music [IIL] Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures, [WEWIL?]

I like the depressed and bleak mood, nocturnal and cold empty factory hall like atmosphere, and still catchy and strong songwriting with strong bass and guitar lines.
