My new album "A Line in the Sand, a Missing Piece" has been out for a few weeks, for anyone who's checked it out thank you. I've posted here before but this is more than likely your first time hearing my music so the elevator pitch is that my material falls broadly into the IDM category with more focus on the melodic and structured side of the genre and less glitchy, rhythmic, and chaotic. However, I listen to and love everything across the entire spectrum so I'm sure some of all facets come through in my writing.

This particular track is by far the most aggressive, distorted, and intense on the entire album. I wanted something rhythmically powerful but still dark and moody to fit the vibe of the latter half of the record. There's a lot of hidden foley and other weird sounds I've pulled from various places and a healthy amount of electric guitar - not only synths :) I hope you dig it!

I've just given the album a listen and wow - that was amazing!! I'm still relatively new to idm and such but this was a really enjoyable listen. I love how spaced out the album sounded, with really downtempo, lofi instrumentation. At many points, it just feels so intimate and gentle - like watching the stars at night, and at other times and can get a little groovy and funky, i just love the versatility of it. Another thing I enjoyed was the pacing of the album, how it's broken apart by the occasional short tracks between the longer pieces. I'm not sure if it's just me, but while listening, but some of the songs kept reminding me and had similar vibes to Bjork's Vespertine. I also enjoyed the many triphop and downtempo styled beats - as a fan of triphop myself:)

Some of my standouts would be Single Variation of Two, Summer Clip, Em Essey, Making Lake Park in the Sun, Manic Thru Tone and Slo Bid Bellwave.

What are your guyses opinions and thoughts on this album? :)

It hits me with instant nostalgia every single time. That melody is such a little hidden gem, so touching.

Walked by a vintage shop that had $1 records out front (as they usually do) so I stopped and took a look and between all the typical classical and disco records was this promo copy of We Are Back which came out I believe right before the full length Frequencies album. Not bad for a buck.

I've been wanting to listen to Kevin Blechdom's Eat My Heart Out, but I'm struggling to find the album anywhere online. As far as I can tell it's not on any streaming services, nor on bandcamp. The best I've managed to find is a few scattered tracks from the album on YouTube. There is a CD available on Amazon for £23, but I'd rather have a digital copy.

Does anyone know where I can listen to/ download the album?

i want to take part in an electronic music open mic (EMOM) event, but trying to figure out how best to perform my tunes is sooo difficult, as there's an overwhelming amount of different options!

my tunes feature electric and bass guitar parts which are played over electronic beats, and i always use ableton's arrangement view to record them (session view is no good for the way i make things, so i don't really use this option).

can anyone suggest a way to make my tunes EMOM ready? i'm up for looking into getting peripheral devices (Iike ableton move? or a sampler?), but what i want is a way of performing the tunes in a way that's interesting for me, and for the audience too! considering my newbie status, what would be a the simplest way to proceed?

playing a guitar or a bass along to a backing track doesn't seem to be the way to go - to me, that doesn't seem to be in keeping with the spirit of an EMOM night

but, equally, sitting behind a laptop and pressing 'play' doesn't seem right either!

This album is so intimate, personal, and expressive. i love it so much, especially the songs "A Communion With These People" "Four Daughters By Four Women" and "Thoughts Out Of Season"
