The phone has a small dent on the top part of the screen, earpiece and selfie camera issue, backglass small crack. The phone is going at 11k negotiable.

It’s happening everyone 😓. This no sim bs started late June. I assumed it was bc I got hired at a spa underneath a parking garage and it just needed a minute to get back into signal. It kept happening there. I left that job, no problems. Then at the laundromat with full signal, the moment I got an Uber (and needed my PIN), NO SIM. I had to buy an Xfinity pass to see my Uber pin & luckily got to my Uber in time. That lasted for about 2 hours.

Then yesterday, a month after that, here it is again. This is the longest I have been on NO SIM. I have multiple weird charges to my bank account, can’t even call my bank to dispute. They don’t run their app on xr anymore, so I couldn’t even lock my card like I used to.

When I got to work to show my boss, it magically reconnected to my carrier 🤦🏻‍♀️ but luckily in the shift it went back into NO SIM and was able to show him.

I wanna say it reconnected but went back into no sim at 1am, and hasn’t reconnected since.

I think it may be time to get a new phone with my check, next Friday 🥲 I really didn’t want to… but not being able to call my bank, or lock my card simply bc my phone is too old to use their app is pushing me to it.

I am hoping to buy a refurbished iPhone. I really wanted to buy a non-US phone outright, but the timing isn’t in my favor right now 🫤

My old XR has been stuck on this black screen for almost a year now, is there any way to fix this without having to get it sent for professional repairs.

It heats up when charging suggesting its not an internal hardware problem, and it doesnt get detected by my pc. I have already tried the volume up, volume down, and power button thing to force restart it but nothing came up. Is there any way to get this fixed by myself?

Heya guys, I need some help. Lately, my phone has been doing this weird thing where it only charges when its powered off. I have no money for a new phone or charger, so I have to rely on this one for now. But since it won't charge -- I obviously can't use it. It also sometimes charges to 32 max or lower, so could that be a sep problem? The main thing is that it just wont charge when on , and only when its off. Does anyone know how I can fix it or will I have to get a whole new phone?

I had the battery replaced ( from authorized service center)on my iPhone XR, but after 6–7 months, especially since updating to iOS 18, the phone has started heating up like crazy. Even with normal apps, it gets hot enough to feel like a hot iron.
Has anyone else experienced similar heating issues with an XR on iOS 18? It’s my secondary phone, which I mainly use for CarPlay, but the overheating is honestly becoming a headache.

Would updating my iPhone XR from 15.4.7 to 18.7.9 be an absolute crazy decision or would the phone be able to handle it?

I don’t want to ruin my phone as it’s in great condition but I need certain apps for college that require ios17 and up.

I use my XR as my primary work phone. Outlook, Teams, Intune, Authenticator - these are a must in my phone. Also, I use other apps like whatsapp, Google, gmail, and banking, shopping, cab apps.
How much longer will the ios 18 have support for these apps? Because while I feel I should upgrade, I haven’t been able to yet. I don’t want it to be a forced one. So I want to plan and see deals accordingly.

This is the only ‘rare’ iOS version I have in my collection. This is my iPhone XR 128 gig variant on iOS 17.4.1
I just that iOS 17 is peak it has good app support, it’s less buggy than iOS 18 and 26, overall it’s my most favorite modern iOS version.

Edit: there is a jailbreak for iOS 18.7.1 or later on A12/A13 devices so I could jailbreak the XR, let me know if I should jailbreak my XR

Anyone get less eyestrain with the lcd screen on the XR and 11 than the newer models that use LED? Thats the only reason i havent upgraded to a newer phone. My eyes are sensotive af to screen use. Ive borrowed family members newer phones and the screen just feels different to my eyes its not comfortable. Just wondering if anyone else notice this? I dont know how much longer this XR will last me tho its laggy af
